I am having the same problem. BL is is good and has decent visuals, but compared to UC2 it just doesn't stack up. I have a feeling that UC2 will do this to a lot of games this holiday.
I got Demon Souls the other day, I have no desire to even open it. UC2 is all I need right now.

This game's matchmaking is making me raise my eyebrows....I don't understand how the teams can be so unbalanced sometimes...

I think it has more to do with people partying up. If you have a 5 person party and you are all ranked high, it will look very imbalanced.

oh so people are having connection problems too?

I was wondering about it since in Beta i played with the same group with NO Problems. and then in the full game sometimes right when the match starts it would disconnect one player. Or sometime when joining a party it would knock that person out immediately.

The first part happened like the past saturday i think. it was an annoyance ;\

If it helps they are in Puerto rico and i'm in the US (LA)

rank ≠ level. Your level only determines how much money you've earned. As long as you're persistent, you can have a really high level but still completely suck at multiplayer. The rank is only visible when you're playing on the ranked playlist. I'm not sure if the game even takes your rank into account when deciding teams for non-ranked playlists. Also, like cjtiger300 said, parties also affect how teams are decided.

In just 6 days I played through the game 3 times (Normal, Hard and Crushing)....I don't believe I've ever done that with a game before lol. Just finished getting all the medals...and got the platinum trophy :D

Parties of people playing together?

I played with 3 other dudes in single digits and we get matched up against people in their teens...because we were a party.

Nearing the end, but everyone is going to bed in my house and I want to play the end with a bang, so I'm going to wait until tomorrow.

I personally feel as though Uncharted 2 is the Resident Evil 4 of this generation. Basically, this is the best game I've played this generation. Best looking, too. If every game looked this good from here on out, I don't think I'd have any complaints.

I agree! I would compare it to the first half of RE4. I'm really not a huge fan of second half of that game... But yes that was the game that defined last generation for me.

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but..
When you do a stealth kill on an enemy in campaign mode, the weapons that get dropped have a Ninja face next to them. What does this mean? What kind of bonus does it provide?

What's the best way to go after completing the game on Normal to get the Hard/Crushing trophies? Is it better to start a New Game or does chapter select work fine? Basically I want to know the differences between the two methods

How hard is it finding all of the treasures? I finished it on normal with only 35. I'd like to try hard or crushing next but with the harder difficulty I can only guess finding all 100 will be even harder.

I didnt expect Shambalah to look as good as it did. And the entire intro to that chapter is totally amazing, I really, really loved it. But holy fuck, those
Guardians sound scary on a 5.1 setup, they make such primal noises.

Having beaten the game, I have to say I take issue with the idea that the game does nothing new, how many games do the things UC2 does on moving fucking platforms? Any other game it would be a QTE.:lol

At the very, very last gameplay segment, I literally stood still and watched thinking I was in a cutscene. I know that sort of thing was done in Modern Warfare, but UC2 does it with greater style and cinematic flair.

they drop as a result of you stealth killing someone. they don't get the bonus grenade or whatever if an emey spots you before you kill them.

I know this question has been asked before, but this thread has exploded. So I beat the game on Normal difficulty, and I have the option to replay any chapter I want with any difficulty I desire. I want to beat it on Hard now to unlock Crushing, so can I select any chapter I want and play it on Hard and advance that way instead of creating a new save file?
Anyone?

Rewrite said:
you can complete the game on Hard in any order you like, just make sure you've finished all the other Chapters before you finish Chapter 26, otherwise you will have to do it again.

So yeah, use the chapter select menu if you want, but end on 26.

I'm not going to lie, I used guide to find the treasures. I'm really no that good with finding stuff, plus It is too hard to see them. When I was looking for them I felt like I was breaking the game.

I don't think you're really forced to find treasure in the middle of combat, so ramping up the difficulty shouldn't be an issue unless you just want to blaze through the game for the sole purpose of hunting them down. Just be sure to observe each and every area thoroughly in-between firefights, and keep in mind that a lot of them have to be shot off ceilings and statues 'n' such so you can reach them, not just lying on the ground or ledges you have to climb to reach like in Drake's Fortune... So, keep your eyes up. Observe the scenery carefully.

I say all that, but I still need to find about 25 more. :| Didn't use a guide for the first game, so I'd like to avoid using one for the second as well.

Yeah, I just stopped playing at Chapter 25. Just what the hell... how on Earth have they managed to put so much into this game and make it all look so amazing. I swear, this has enough variety and different art assets and environments to fill up 5 regular games. Stuff changes so much and so often that I feel like that it must have been some other game a month ago that I've played chapter in Istanbul.

Finally got my hands on the game, and I forced myself to stop at the train level. It's pretty much everything people said it was - Naughty Dog raised the bar for sure.

However, what's with the 'boost partner to raise a ladder' standby? It was done at least 5 times since the beginning of the game and onto the Nepal warzone. It would have been better if the ladder was just down - that would have brought more variety to the table.

I've had it stack teams fairly often with ridiculously high players vs all sub level 10 guys, and nobody appeared to be in a party.

It does get pretty repetitive boosting someone up to a ladder and watching them lower it 500 times. :lol Not sure why that came up so often.

Use the skull mask skin and pretend you're playing Army of Two and it won't feel out of place.

It happens so there's already a way out of a certain area, but you can only reach it after clearing out said area, because only then your partner will get to it.

If the ladder was already down you could just get away without shooting anybody or doing what you're supposed to.

But yeah, repetitive is the word.

Just got my 1000th trophy thanks to this game :D Think I'll take my time going for the plat though. There are a few spots I'm definitely not looking forward to in Crushing.

My only complaints with the game is the Chambala stone wasn't that interesting of a relic per se and the end game just stopped shy of entering Indy 4 territory. It was very "video gamey' as far as where the plot went near the end if you know what I mean. It wasn't as jarring as the first game's end game, but still kind of hokey. Also the last boss fight was kind of Bioshock level anticlimatic.

K, well this will solve the problem:

When I disconnect, does it migrate the host?
I know when Lyulf disconnects it usually says migrates the host.

The issue wasn't there in the first beta, and my set up hasn't changed at all.

Man welcome to my world. It makes it impossible to actually play online, and the worse part is I can't play co-op at all. There is definitely a problem I though it was on my end, but that just isn't the case. With me there is a problem whenever I am the host. To be honest once I get Demon's Souls I am not going to play the U2 multiplayer until the issue is fixed.

It sucks because this was going to be my main multi player game. It seems like I am going to have to find another game to play online.

Yeah, the final bosses in the Uncharted games are sort of lacklustre which is odd given the quality of the preceding setpieces.

I found UC2's final encounter rather sloppy because it didn't involve stealth, gunplay, melee combat or platforming in any meaningful way - and these are the game's 'pillars' so to speak.

Why not design a final boss / encounter which requires effective use of cover, stealth, platforming and shooting? Probably because it is hard.

To be honest, UC1's final encounter was more true to the game than UC2's, even though it was pretty dull. It's lucky that an amazing sequence follows the final boss in UC2, because it washes the mediocre taste from your mouth.

This is the first game I have ever been an achievement whore for, so that's quite an accomplishment.

However I'm not getting them just for the sake of getting them, I just really want all the unlocks and need lots of money.

I've been able to take my time getting every treasure without having to worry about a firefight but like the first Uncharted; there are definitely ones you can miss by triggering a cut-scene or walking to far forward or jumping down a certain ledge (Kind of stinks but at least after playing through the whole game you can go back and get the rest). Also in the first game you didn't have to shoot any of the treasures down, in this game you have to shoot quite a few from odd spots that can be hard to miss if you aren't paying attention.

Thanks KilgoreTrout. Been wanting to put a avatar for a while this is perfect. Thanks so much :)

WTF IS UP WITH TINYPIC DELETING THE PICTURES IN MY OP?

As for the avatars, have at it. I'm not gonna edit claimed or not claimed though.
Just be nice, and courteous to who gets them first.

If you have a certain screenshot, and don't have Photoshop, send me it, and I'll see what I can do.

I'll probably add some more tomorrow.

I am SO glad this game has a MUTE feature for online play...

I have been starting to play online since I finished the single player, and I'm like level 7...I played a match with some friends against these guys that were like level 30+ average...

After killing us a few times they immediately resorted to trash talking, and typical teenager rubbish. lol @ taking things too seriously.
