Finished it. It's a far better game that Uncharted, graphics and gameplay wise, but I liked the story and setting more in the first part.
Also the enemy twist isn't nearly as great as in the first in any way.

On to three.

Nice spoiler. :)

Yeah, something's REALLY off with the website's stat tracking.

I know I like grabbing the rocket on the lost city map, but I don't use the damn thing THAT much.

the stats are (and have always been) fucked. It even still says "BETA" in the title banner. Supposedly they're fixing them. Hopefully "Match History" gets used.

Pretty much. Thankfully I've had the displeasure of reading enough of his reviews to know you shouldn't give much worth to what he has to say. Sometimes I think he just enjoys stirring pots. Interesting read none-the-less.

Oh, finally. Another FAL user. It's easily my favorite gun. I thought I was crazy. That and the Pistole.

I HATE using the AK, if I want to go for an automatic, I'll look all over for an M4, but aside from that? My first order of business when I spawn in is grabbing a FAL.

Really great game. Story, characters, voice acting. oh so good. The graphics don't really need any more praise. Sweet baby jesus.

Just making my way through the train level right now. Story has me by the balls.

Some of the back and forth commentary while playing is pretty funny. I liked the zombie comment.

I only like the FAL on certain maps, like Train Wreck and the temple one. But other then that, AK/M4 all the way.

You and me both. I wish I can take proper photographs of my HDTV like you.
I tried over the weekend about a hundred times to take some photos and they all came out horrible. There is definitely some skill involved in the shots Nibs throws up.

Just beat the game:

HOLY FUCK THAT WAS AWESOME.

It was seriously like playing a movie except you're actually playing and not watching. Some of the sequences had me squealing. Awesome game. Awesome cutscenes. The acting both voice and physical were great.

Listen up developers, this is how you make an awesome game. I'm looking at you Kojima.

Photo Thread is off to a good start here: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=377436

Just gonna plop my two favourite pics I've taken so far here as incentive for you all to check out the thread of bandwidth eating image heaven:

I absolutely adore the Cinema Mode and how it reveals the pictures being taken is all stuff you can fly through in real time, no special treatment to the image capture. Even U2's MP mode looks lightyears beyond most current gen games. Naughty Dog just have the most talented tech people in the industry obviously.

The FAL is the best, the first thing I do upon spawning is look for the closest one so I can get rid of that shitty AK. If you get that thing along with a Desert Eagle or Pistole, you are fucking set.

the best weapons are the pistols. friggin' accurate. :)

Dude, the FAL is great. Especially when using the zoom feature.

The Pistole is also a total feel-good weapon.

Now, I'm wanting to go replay the single player and jump into some co-op.

Damn it all!

My copy finally arrived today. I'm officially excited. Although my PS3's not online at the minute due to me pushing the reset button on my router too hard. :|

Still, I'm sure the SP will keep me busy for a while. I already got stuck at
the 2nd alarm... : (

Every time I look at images from Cinema Mode I get more annoyed that single-player doesn't also have the feature, ala Halo 3.

Doesn't even have to necessarily record, since I know that could be taxing to FPS. Just screenshots.

Agree for the most part, but when you are getting dominated by a group of friends I don't blame someone for quitting.

More games need "Mercenary" play lists, where groups cannot join like CoD.

Well, I've never seen snow float in the game (if it did, it was probably a one off glitch and not worth bringing up in the review), and snow (70% of the time) does move when your feet trudge through it (usually it only doesn't when it isn't soft snow), and then there's comparing it to Sigma (lol). So yea...something isn't quite right about that paragraph....

Funnily enough, Game Daily(?) said the same thing about snow not moving/leaving footprints, but the moment I started a new game, and my feet hit the snow, low and behold it had realistic deformation and footprints...

In-fact....here's a few screens of it.

Well to be a bit fair, the snow resets pretty quickly and is easy to turn back behind you and see that the snow has reset. That's not saying it doesn't deform at all, but I can see how one can have an issue with it to a degree.

With the exp system whenever that happens I try to make the most of it and score as much money as possible and not sweat the end result. I had a match where the highest my team had was a lvl 17, the opposing team had a 6, two 17s, a 23 and a 28. Needless to say we were massacred, but I was pleased to see that noone on my team dropped.

It might be difficult to track, but I'd like to see a rolling penalty system. A straight up, you disconnect, you lose a ton of stuff would unfairly punish people who were having connection issues. Make it so you lose $1000 dollars for your first disconnect, $2000 for your second, and so on, doubling each time. Anybody who's just having a bad connection would probably be sensible enough to just call it a day early on and try another time. Then make it so it takes 24 hours to reset the penalty back.

Of course, they'd need to sort out the matchmaking first.

Okay, this is really dumb, but I can confirm that the guy Nate stealth kills in
ch 2--guy above you/guy below you
does indeed live. If you watch, you can see him swim off.

I love the FAL. It's been especially useful on the co-op maps, since nobody ever seems to grab it but me. The couple of areas where you're expected to snipe enemies down below, I just grab that and leave the Dragons to the other guys on my team, since the FAL is almost identically useful if you take the extra time to score headshots.

Yeah I've gone back and looked for that in my second playthrough after being clued into it by the guy who animated that bit. They put it in intentionally to not break the non-lethal theme of that area. Drake may be a mass-murderer, but he's not a monster! :lol

The game just freaked me the hell out when
You're climbing the ice cave and all of the sudden the right side of your screen wasn't a wall but the fuckin' Yeti's arm.:lol

That was awesome. It's such a classic technique, but I loved it. :D
