award you more money at the end of the chapter, I believeKen Masters said:anyone?
Not even just that, but your running is affected a bit as well as the train sways around. They utilized this dynamic environment concept in other parts of the game too, but that was by far the longest stretch. It's one of the most impressive feats in the game how well this was pulled off - the only other game I know of that did this kind of thing was SotC, and there it just wasn't this smooth and seamless.Rez said:It kind of puts the Gears of War and Killzone 2 train levels to shame, and not just superficially either. I really love the way the trains physical movement actually effects where you're aiming and whether or not you can get a clear shot on the enemy (or visa-versa), it's such an impressive step up that I would have expected from a new console generation. It's like, "yeah, the PS3/360 did train levels on a straight pathway, look at what the PS4/XBOX3 can do now!" type material. Amazing.

Yes there is, work harder.UntoldDreams said:I think the question on my mind (Wow I was just studying the water/waterfall effects are impressive too...) is actually whether this level of technology will be adopted by others?
Are other engines adopting this type of advanced capabilities or is it just a lonely group of Sony dev specific groups?
Geurrilla, Naughty Dog, Insomniac, Sucker Punch, Evolution (Motorstorm)
All these devs are AAA teams and apparently can share information with each other...
But what about dev groups like EA / Ubisoft / etc? Are they basically stuck with the functional yet "now boring" Unreal Engine? Is there a chance they can get better?
Batman Arkham Asylum is the perfect example of something that could have benefited from a more powerful engine.

That make it too easy! You have to beat the mode first before you can use it. So once you beat game on crushing you can then use weapons on it.Ken Masters said:so you can't use the weapon selection menu you unlock by beating the game on crushing? I beat the game on hard and was really counting on that to beat it crushing

I think sharing tech is cool and totally awesome, but licensed engines.. not so much:x It sounds like a contradiction to say I wouldn't like to see uncharted visuals in every freaking game, when the graphics are truly jaw dropping, but I really appreciate visual diversity:/ Still a couple of reasons why most people can spot an unreal engine quite easily is probably because of its flaws, so maybe an engine like naughty dog's being so complete can allow a bigger variety of visuals?UntoldDreams said:smartass![]()

LiK said:had a lot of fun in some pub matches with jett, we were pwning. we only lost to 2-3 matches cuz of the stacked teams that had 3 or more guys who were 30-40 lvl. insane matchmaking. :lol
There's even a line by Flynn when on the roofs of chapter 2 that goes along "you gotta eat less donuts" as he pulls Drake up. Made me laugh out loud on my 2nd playthrough. :lolRez said:It's almost like ND planned for Donut. The amount of tight spaces Drake has to slide through and bridges that collapse beneath is feet is hilariously awesome. :lol
jett said:Yeah dude good stuff, couldn't do much against most stacked team but we did pwn one of those teams.
btw triangle and square both work.
I actually understand you completely.TTP said:Yet,I'm still amazed by the amount and diversity of interaction the game allows you to express without falling into the trap of breaking the illusion buy giving you total freedom. Hard to explain, but I actually felt like a stranger.
There needs to be more specific playlists all around. This continues to be my main gripe with the online portion. If I want to play an RPG deathmatch then fucking let me do it.jett said:I miss plunder from the beta, all that shows up in the objectives playlist is turfwar/koth/chain reaction which might as well be the same thing.
Jack Scofield said:And I asked earlier, but no dice. Does anyone have a Navarro code that they wouldn't mind giving away? He's probably my favorite bad guy from the first game, and I would love to play as him in Uncharted 2 MP. If no one has any extras, then mind telling me how I can get my own?
So its never go to made available to everyone via DLC?(<-- I know you probably won't answer this either way) Not that I care I got 1arne said:Navarro was a limited/exclusive giveaway for San Diego ComicCon attendees. I had some extras I brought to PAX for some spontaneous giveaways too. I found some more extras and I'm holding on to those for some future giveaway/sweepstakes/contests.
