Woah, really cool vids. Thanks for the links.

EDIT: the banter these people have together is great.

"And she was the only one that auditioned topless, which I thought was brilliant." :lol

Nolan North has such a tough gig working with Emily Rose, poor guy. She's effin gorgeous.

More here.

Man, I gotta level up faster just to unlock this alone. I haven't played U2 MP for like 2 days now...

So I guess we can expect some insane combat with Drake in an airplane in the next game. That seems to be the natural evolution of the train sequence.

Also, for all those who insist on Egypt, I give you South America:

Fully scaled Machu Picchu, baby.

And a new Brazilian female > new Egyptian female

Died so many times trying to kill the mini boss on the train on crushing, then I remembered you just need to melee QTE his ass

Too similar to what's been done already. Give me deserts (with awesome sand effects), sand storms etc! Gigantic pyramids, underground tombs and more. I wouldn't mind some South America though. Or the Favela's from Brazil!

i am really desperate.. i tried everything, but i still can't play every game online on my ps3..

it is strange, but some games like street fighter IV and Resident Evil 5 work flawlessly, while i can't play with friends with uncharted 2 because i can't join a group. And if a create a group myself, my friends can't join. If i just search for a match, instead, it works.. why..

these are my network settings (my router is the netgear 834g v2).. i don't have any other problem with my connection

yeah, i know this configuration is bad for my security.. but it is just to try..

i don't know if it is relevant (i'm not good at this), but if i do an online portscan on my pc, i see that the majority of the ports are closed.. should't they be all opened on my PC1 and on my ps3 with these settings ?

gaf, help me.. i want to play some uncharted 2 co-op with friends :(

UC3: City of God

OMG that could be epic. Imagine jumping from roof to roof. Such bustling and compact architecture, crazy set pieces or action chase sequences with amazing views in the backdrops. A great sense of culture and life. I'm sure it would be a technical nightmare, but to be fair, ND weren't far off with this.

Has anyone seen these yet? They weren't in the bonus section of the game nor did I see them in the PS store. Found them on the Playstation Youtube page. Really good vids. #8 is cool it's the actors sitting around talking about the audition process. All behind the scenes stuff.

Behind the Scenes 7 - Meet the Actors

BTS 8 - Audition process

BTS 9 - Motion Capture

I wish they showed more of the motion capture stuff, rather than just glimpses. But the roundtable discussion was fun.

"Were you topless too?"
"No, bottomless." :lol

I wish the guy who played Sully spoke up more. Just kinda sat there, looking bored.

Christ... not playing the multiplayer in 3 weeks really makes you rusty... Not happy with my performance tonight.

Of course, it could just have been the new maps that weren't in the beta. Of which
Sanctuary
I DETEST.

GG tonight Volatile, Full-Recovery, and whoever else I played with tonight (which was a lot of people)! Haven't played this much in quite some time.
Great fun in the GAF games we had. :)

I think that not only should there be a fight on a plane, but have that transition into a skydiving fight (ala shoot'em up) where you kill guys jumping after you and use their dead bodies as cover, then kill a miniboss and and break his neck just in time to steal his parachute that was shot off earlier in the fight.

Finished on Normal... this game just NEVER stops being awesome from start to finish.

Immediately purchased "Mirror World" tweak so that I can play more leisurely with reversed map settings.

I am shocked at the kinds of things they pulled off with this game.

Having been to South America and witnessed its beauty, I agree. Do Rio + Machu Piccu

Add Chile's Atacama Desert to the party, it's an amazing place and it's close to Machu Pichu (great zone too, btw)

man, played some really amazing multiplayer levels. Just finished one with my mate and... :lol :lol @ the madness that is level 10. The game does slow down that's only because rocket launchers X 03 + gatling + shotgun + grenades were going off. soooo fun. Finished level 10 and got like 35k I was shocked. :O

Playing with my mate, I could tell him what to do... level 10 "MICHAEL RUN RUN RUN AWAY". lol it was our last try...

the multiplayer is a-mazing.

I have no idea how co-op matchmaking works. I guess it finds people at your difficulty and then if it can't, it goes down and tries to find any match... I still wish that there was some kind of browser. I mean, have someone set up a game they want and just join them and be able to stick together for as long as you want without spamming party request.

I also got all the optional single player medals. I've never played a game this thoroughly... and all because you can use the money in multiplayer. :lol

I'm especially shocked at how Donut Drake fits into the game literally, it's funny watching him fit through the cracks in the Mountaineering chapter.

Can you play connected directly to Internet without the Netgear router?

Are your friends also behind router(s)? Routers don't allow direct connections which could problems with P2P.

People have this assumption that putting a device in DMZ bypass the router entirely. That's not true. The router still process and forward the connection on, and thus, it could still cause issues. Have you try port forwarding? In PS3 connection test, what type of NAT do you have?

After watching those videos I'm really surprised how talented the facial animators are. I assumed since it was so close to real life that they used facial mo-cap. Naughty Gods indeed

gg yesterday, we won 22 games (mostly plunder) in a row and decided to take a break (Ryanardo CrushDance Killthee BrokenOath Dave Chryz and others were there), then Crush dediced it was time for some coop on "hard" and we failed miserable, over and over again... and again, epic fail !

and:

proximity chat anecdotal evidence:

random guy at level 7 in multiplayer asks: "whats the button to climb?" :lol

Just hearing that guy laugh is quality though on that round table. He's got the such a recognizable deep chuckle, it cracks me up.

Finished it this morning, took me just over 8 and a half hours in total. Just like the original Uncharted, Resident Evil 4 and Half-Life 2, I feel like Naughty Dog succeeded in taking me on one amazing adventure that flowed perfectly and was never, ever dull. Top 10 of all-time instantly.

Story-wise, I think the writing was even funnier this time around, and the characters had a lot more depth to them. I like how
Elena was a bigger part of the game than I originally thought she would be, since most of the focus beforehand was on Chloe. Their relationship picking up seemed exceptionally natural and the love triangle situation was handled with great subtlety. My one complaint would be the fact that the supernatural-ish element of the game was done nearly exactly the same as the first game - even down to the section where you and your foe decide to team up for a quick time to stay alive. I did enjoy that element, though, it just felt a bit samey unlike the rest of the game.

I might try out multiplayer soon, since most of you seem to love it, but my motivation to do so is very low, to be honest. I didn't feel the gunplay, as improved as it is, was strong enough to keep my interest competitively in the beta. Still - Uncharted has always been about the story mode for me, and that will never change.

Modern Warfare 2, you have a challenge topping this for GOTY.

Hey Warren, I had the same problem with the Uncharted 2 beta demo. I was able to fix it by disabling DMZ and opening these ports...

All games published by SCEA (first-party) may use the following ports for communication with SCEA (first-party) game servers:

* TCP Ports: 80, 443, 5223, and 10070 - 10080
* UDP Ports: 3478, 3479, 3658, and 10070

It also fixed my problems with Bomberman Ultra and Crash Commando. Hope that helps.

ah yeah Highluxury was there too, and don't forget: Uncharted is "cute"... but Killzone 2 was epic :p

anyone noticed how Ryanardo always rushes ahead immediately after the round starts and only come back at the end of the game with 30+ poor guys dogtags on his neck?

He's fucking Rambo

Thanks for posting those! I just can't get enough of that cast. They are so damn awesome.

And Emily Rose, she's really pretty.

She even got some handjob action in!

:lol

By the way, I knew this would come back in the end. Especially considering U2's matchmaking doesn't really work that well most of the time.
The reason it got a 10 is the same reason Bungie is listed under Special Thanks at the end of Uncharted 2. They did some really awesome things with its community features that a lot of developers have since learned from and emulated.

Looks like she's asking if "that feels better?"

i'd love to see Uncharted 3 , but maybe on PS4, unless this generation lasts a lot. Instead, to keep ND busy and making great games they should use U2 engine with Indiana Jones license and make a game that would probably be the best tha IP could have ever seen. Adding the whip to actual gameplay could be awesome.

Finally got it! Along with two other titles. Now need a half year of vacation :p And new Ratchet coming next week, oh shit...

I feel they need to change the design and structure of Uncharted 3... Keep things rolling, don't stand still. UC2 really perfected the design they were going for... I think a little freshness and change is due for the last one. Something a little less linear maybe, more explorative, less point A to point B
