Has anyone seen these yet? They weren't in the bonus section of the game nor did I see them in the PS store. Found them on the Playstation Youtube page. Really good vids. #8 is cool it's the actors sitting around talking about the audition process. All behind the scenes stuff.

Behind the Scenes 7 - Meet the Actors

BTS 8 - Audition process

BTS 9 - Motion Capture

Those are great. Why weren't they in the in-game bonus materials? That's exactly the sort of stuff I would have wanted there. What is there is less interesting than what was in the bonus section of the first game to me, and that's pretty much the only thing I think the first game did better. Did they actually not have any more room on the disc? If so, they should really go for a BD50 for U3! I love bonus videos like these, and would have liked many more of them.

HOLY CRAP!

The COOP ultiplayer was hilarious fun but at some point some shock troopers ran at us and melee snapped everyone's neck.

Umm.... What's the deal here? I had a shotgun do i need to score a headshot?

You need to kill them before they catch you. You can't neither melee them nor try stealth kills.

I've been doing that. Its not working at all. I meleed probably 25% of the enemies when I went through on hard mode and never had a problem. For the guy on the train, the triangle is supposed to show up.
I was having that problem during my Crushing run and I realized I was countering too early.

just finished on hard, 12hr30. GOTY.. probably game of this gen. Fantastic from start to finish, i'm just gutted i cant use my 1 shot kill and slow mo bonuses for crushing :( no way im playing through again on a harder difficulty.

I'm close to finishing my Crushing run. I tried to go all stealth on some of the bigger encounters, but I never seem to get past the first 3 or 4 guards. The one in the monastery courtyard (with the turret nest) was annoying. I could take out the first 2 guards + RL guy, but killing the fourth guard would ALWAYS alert the others. bah. It's more difficult than I thought, are there any vids of guys doing these? I'd like to see the monestary tower without alerts.

I think I know the area you're talking about. The one that takes place in Co-op, right? If so, there is
an area you can climb down over the cliff that allows you to make your way to the building in the top right corner, before the bridge. The route also allows you to pull down a couple of guards. I'm sure there's another hiding place after that, but by then I stealth killed about 6 guards, so I just shot up the rest.

I don't know if you can 100% stealth that area though, I think you're supposed to alert the guards by a certain point.

But you can be save by a fellow partner.
Unless you're playing in two, and both get caught by them.

You can with a glitch.

I'm damn close to getting my platinum. I've got 97 treasures that I have found on my own. Think I may have to use a guide for the last few. There's no way you would find some of these unless you are really checking every inch unlike the first game where they were pretty easy to find.

This game is one of the most satisfying sequels I have ever played. There really is no area where the first is better in my opinion. I think it's maybe a wash on the score because the music in the first was so great but this really is how a sequel should be done. I hope this game sells like crazy for Naughty Dog because this is their master work so far.

It's almost the same as Hard, will probably be even easier as a second playthrough.

Or all three that happen before, :lol
Huh? I can't remember three of them at the same time (I haven't played much co-op and Gold Rush though... just one game, in the Nepal zone btw, since when the final game got released :lol ). I should really play more co-op.

I finished my second run on Hard difficulty without too much trouble. The combat was a lot more entertaining on Hard and I think it is really the perfect difficulty for the game.

I started up another game on Crushing and played up to chapter 7, but some of these segments are just bullshit. Even melee combat is unwieldy in this. However, this is the first game where I have really decided to get the platinum trophy so I am going to force myself to finish it even though it isn't very fun on this difficulty. Enemies are bullet sponges, they never miss and you die in like 5 shots. I am dreading some of the more challenging segments.

I also still only have 62 treasures after completing the game twice. After I finish crushing I am definitely going to find a guide online, turn it on the easiest difficulty, activate some cheats and go treasure hunting.

Yeah dude they pot up like crazy in the later co-op levels.

Too bad there isn't an online co-op section on the train.
Sounds like a scenario creating nightmare for the developers!

Isnt that the big ass minigun?

The big ass Gatling gun. The one where Drake is always in 3rd person...can't go in first person with it.

KennyLinder said:
Ahh right, the big ass dudes carry it don't they? I'll prob have to do another run of the game for that one. Oh no :)

Can't you just buy it in the single player store and spawn it any time you want?

There are actually a few places with respawning enemies that I noticed:
  • Chapter 11:
Carrying Jeff (don't remember the spot specifically, but I want to say it's right after the car blows up.
  • Chapter 19:
The first machine gun (If you go to the adjacent building and kill the guy on the machine gun a guy will spawn nearby to re-man the gun. This is where I got most of my Gau kills for the medal.
  • Chapter 25:
The room where the mercs and guardians are fighting. (There's an invisible line at the top of the stairs. As long as you're behind it enemies will continue to spawn.)

Perhaps, but none of these sections are frustrating or force you to fight waves of spawning enemies that's in COD series.

A little off topic, talk about frustrating boss fight, I just finished Crysis for the first time and the last boss was fucking painful to fight. I kept dying to the ice blast thing...and when those flying fuckers came out toward the end it was just frustrating. I was wondering the whole time why I couldn't use my tech cannon to lock onto anything (until then I realized why)...really hate that game design there.

And I think UC2 snow and water is way better than Crysis (though there isn't ocean water in UC2 to compare to Crysis ocean). The snow in Crysis didn't impress me. Played on very high setting 1920x1200. UC2 levels are definately smaller scale but all the details are better defined. The rain in Crysis looks horrible (specially when flying).

damn, on damaging
Lazarobitch: so I tried shooting him when he was stunned and this does major damage.
I got to the different phases of the fight very quickly doing this. I was playing on Crushing and I only had to retry the fight twice. If you're having trouble beating him on harder difficulties... that's the ticket.

I forgot. Is "very high" the maximum setting?

I really gotta disagree with you about the water and snow. Both look fantastic in UC2, but it definitely looks better in Crysis. I don't remember the rain in Crysis so I won't comment on that, but the scene with the rain in Uncharted 2 was amazing.

I wish I would've known this before I beat it on crushing lol. It wasn't that bad but this would've definitely helped.

Hmm, alright (still haven't played Crushing). I remember reading one thing though earlier in the topic; instead of trying to do a full melee combo, hit the guy ONCE, then cancel the combo, then hit him ONCE again and so on until his helmet falls off, then start the full combo.

I did that and I finally managed to kill him. If anyone knows if there is a trick to doing the melee counters on crushing please post the details. Is it a glitch? It seems so odd that I was able to do them so consistently through hard and now they are damn near impossible on crushing. Is it intentional so that people can't melee through the game?

Doing my Treasure finding run before starting Hard/Crushing. I feel bad when I go through a chapter again and still miss one (or two). It's really satisfying doing them without a guide though. I literally go "Aha!" when I see one sometimes.

OK, so here's my story. Yesterday I was playing Lost City, and I ran outta my grenade clip on this guy:

How come every time I log onto my PSN account on Naughty Dog's website, it tells me the login was successful, and then goes back to the home page, not logged in. Any reason for this?

Also is there anyway to see your full online stats? Like a K/D Ratio and stuff like that?

As far as the game allows you to, very high is the highest setting you can get.

Here's the problem, Crysis water do look amazing in some areas (like in the island), but the water in the gunship wasn't so good. So that was the water I remember since I only played these last few levels just now. Crysis is much bigger than UC2 but the details aren't as defined as UC2. Just go into that ship in the last 2 levels and tell me the environment is that good looking (to me it isn't).

by the way, the snow in Crysis looks very static to me...kinda like just a texture map thing. In UC2, the snow kinda have that depth to them instead of just a texture on a ploy face feeling (I know there's that in some UC2 levels too though). It feels real.

so i finished the game on normal...what cheats should i buy?

how are the behind the scenes movies?

12 hours and 43 treasures.

awesome awesome game.

Uncharted 2 is better than the first game in every way possible. I'd be happy enough to replay ANY section of the game so far, where as some parts of the first game felt rather like a chore to be honest (when replaying that is).

I'm nearing the train level at the moment. Such a good game. Playing on normal at the moment though, and to be honest, I'm rushing through the game. Not collecting any treasures or anything :\ - need to do a lot of uni study you see, heh.

Just one question though - do I only unlock Crushing by completing the game on Hard?

Just completed it on hard. I think I enjoyed it even more the second time. The
Monestary
level was my favorite, and the whole game is so goddamn beautiful.

Ending dialogue cracked me up again. :lol

Only got 46 treasures tho lol Gonna play through again to get the rest of the treasures/trophies and then finish with a Crushing run through. :'D

I will haz my platinum.

Its just like the first game. You can only unlock it by beating it on hard. That's why its good to start with hard difficulty IMO.

I can't see a Live update/playlist addition work for a third person shooter like this. Maybe it could work a la Plunder. Take the idol to the enemies treasure chest and one life to live. But you remove the weight of the idol. Of course, this would break the balance that plunder has.

I... can't really see that going.

That's why I specified "DLC".

Question for EU guys:

Is there language selection in U2? And does it cover both text and dub?

So if I buy game in Italy or Germany, will it have option for English language?

Fun but getting annoying with more and more enemies piling up as the game progresses.
The bridge where there is a dude with a Desert 5 on one side, 2 M4 guy son the other, the a bridge of infinitely respawning enemies made me want to hate the game more than Resistance 2. Also, sometimes the game does not make it abundantly clear where to go, and because the rules change so much (sometimes Nate can jump huge chasms, but sometimes he drops a few feet and dies) it also makes me want to hate the game.

Other than that, it's a great game.

Too bad.

But goddamn, the cutscenes + dialogue in this game are awesome. This game is definitely an interactive blockbuster experience. And I love the insane variety in environments. Killzone 2, take note!

Hm. I completed every stage on Hard (chapter select says so), but no trophy or crushing. What gives?
You need to complete the last chapter last. If you didn't before completing them all, do it again and you should unlock Crushing and get the trophy.

As far as I know, there's no place in that chapter with infinitely respawning enemies.
