Next Uncharted game should be set in Afrika. So many great possibilities. Egypt, diamonds, scary animals, big jungles, deserts etc.

Underwater levels scare me. The game should give you unlimited air if it ever happens.

Oh really that's the only cheat you used? Hmmm that does suck that would annoy the hell out of me too.

Cheats that affect the gameplay cannot (render modes are OK) be enabled on modes you haven't beat yet. Try playing the last level again.

was anyone else
expecting lazareus to soak up the mana of life and become a different form/monster?
I sort of expected... that... and a
multiple tier boss fight
...

/missed opportunity or something.

I was actually positively surprised that they avoided that cliche.

I didn't like the last boss fight so much, they could have done even more, like after 2 - 3 explosions turn him into a octopus man giant sized head and normal body. or something like that.

This game is very enjoyable.

I normally detest shooters, but it is kinda fun here. The AI is impressive, the hit detection is zappy and especially on Crushing this game is very polished and deep. I can't remember the time I couldn't stop playing a game.

Yeah I'm on the boat of avoiding that cliche was the right move without an Octopus head man for a final boss.

Its not "Uncharted (resident) Evil 2 : Drakes Misfortune"
"The Umbrella virus has spread to a small section of the Amazon. Horribly mutated flesh eating squirrels are everywhere. Can Drake survive?"

I felt the same way. I like to think a final boss should incorporate all of the skills learned in a game. Though games these days always just have some random encounter that consists of
running around like a headless chicken.

I would've rather had
an environment breaking apart and Drake running away from this immortal psycho, slowing him down by blowing up the blue explosives. Needing to jump and swing to get ahead, very fast, sometimes stunning the guy with melee attacks. Better than running in circles.

This. I played through hard using render modes and skins and still got the trophy. Did you use chapter select? You might've skipped one.

fuuuck.. got so far in co-op and they quit after we all died. Think I will trade this in tomorrow (can get £29 for it) and will rebuy later when theres dlc and do a crushing run.

Do people seriously want stale game clichés like water levels, lava and mutating monsters in this game?

Awful, awful glitch. ND, please patch this.
At one point I was expecting a water level...but luckily there wasn't!

I really hate water levels. Although...
a mutating final boss into a giant squid, fought in water
sounds awesome.

It is absolutely astounding that they did this in 2 years.
When I found out the game was going to have a 2 year development time and it was going to have:

-Longer SP Campaign
-Full Featured Multiplayer
-Machima mode(Are you kidding me now their just showing off)
-Co-Op
-Save video feature

It really worried me since Insomniac had just tried the same thing with R2 and the game as a result really suffered and even though they could say bullet point by bullet point they had everything you could tell pretty much every aspect of the game lacked polish and nothing had any detail.

But somehow that wasn't the case at all. When you play through the game it is absolutely to the level of quality you would expect in a Bungie or Valve game. Especially Valve the difference being though we got the game in 2 years and not half a decade.

What ND has achieved is truly truly mind blowing.

Well...

In roughly the same time that Naughty Dog have made their two Uncharted games Insomniac have made:

Resistance: Fall of Man
R&C: ToD
R&C: QFB
Resistance 2
R&C: ACiT

That's five games (or 4½, at least) vs two games. Now, Insomniac is a fair bit larger than ND (about 180 vs 100 employees), but still.

Good games tonight GAF :D Had so much fun with Chryz, Steroyd & Lince today.

Sanctuary & The village co-op games on crushing difficulty were epic!

... Chryz needs to stare less at DAT ASS, some times he misses enemies because of it :D
DOSLOWNIE!

Seeing as this game series is getting progressively better, I would love to see ND do a quadrilogy before the end of the PS3s life-span. I definitely think Egypt is a strong candidate for the next game. Things I wanna see ND bring to life if they choose it:
-Cairo going to shit the way that Nepal was would be sweet.
-Rolling dust storms.
-Convoys through the desert.
-Something with boats on the Nile.
-ALLIGATORS.
-Traps and epic puzzles in pyramids in ruins.
-A fully developed villain (lol).
-Flashbacks (not to the other games, they can be used to flesh out characters such as the villain).
-Two segments of the game akin to Heart of Ice.
-Same amount of puzzles (I don't care for ND's puzzles that much, but the ones in UC2 were fine in the amount there were).
-No more fucking ladders.
-No forced stealth segments, just the optional stealth that makes up the rest of UC2.
-Whole level made up of being on stuff falling over.

heres what i'd like to see

- less fingertip hanging, especially from running jumps.. Nate has superglue fingers
- bigger environments
- stealth weapons (silenced pistol)
- enemies don't know exactly where you are when you are out of their sight
- numerous paths to the same goal
- more destruction, especially of cover forcing you to move more
- more puzzles that don't just require matching something from your journal

Apparently the beta was full of solid walls you could get inside (at least two in the Ice Cave and two in the Village), and I'm afraid most of them made it to the final game. And I also heard about a "deadbody" glitch where your body doesn't disappear but stays on the ground, so you respawn as an invisible being (to other players, you can see yourself) and they can only kill you by finding your true body and shooting it (creepy!). Damn. I hope they patched this.

Apart from the numerous paths which I don't feel is necessary, I agree with all of those.

Isn't that already in? Numerous times I would attack a group, go under cover, flank them, pop out of cover and they'd still be attacking where they saw me last until someone spotted me or I opened fire again. It was something that I really enjoyed.

Yep, it's already in.

Yes they lose sight of you but as soon as you aim at someone even behind their back they will turn around and aim at you too, thats kinda cheap

I love the
dust blowing off the exposed floors when you're climbing up the sign posts in nepal
. Such a small detail but something about that with the light and everything made me o_0.

edit - ha, and then I go into the buildings and there are so many more nice little touches to gawp at :D I like the books..

Actually they can with an exploit.

1. Load up the game on crushing difficulty or whatever.
2. Pause the game and change the difficulty to one where you have unlocked tweaks for.
3. Enable the tweaks...such as "One hit kills".
4. Save the game then exit to the title screen.
5. From the title screen go to options and change the difficulty back to crushing.
6. Resume your saved game.
7. Your tweaks are still active. And yes you can get the trophies with this method.

It's apparent some don't know how the tweaks/cheats work. It is NOT POSSIBLE to activate game breaking cheats on difficulties you haven't already completed (unless you like to glitch activate them, which still doesn't hurt trophies in any way). The only way I can see that would not give you difficulty trophies is if you don't play every level from chapter 1 & forward. You can't just pick & choose randomly & expect to be rewarded. At this point, there are no known broken trophies in this game. You could activate every single cheat in the game & still get all the trophies.

To guarantee getting the Hard trophy, start a completely new game after setting the difficulty to Hard in the Options menu. OR go to Options & then to Chapter select (and pick Chapter 1!). Using Continue to restart at Chapter 1 will just restart you on the your last difficulty (though changing the difficulty first may counter-act that). I'd go with option 1 or 2 just to be safe.

What is the best way to replaly the game from start in Crushing mode. Should I activate some cheats or not? Which one then?

Probably 1 hit kills and unlimited ammo. At least that's what I'm going to do. I wonder though if it'll work on the chopper and tank, prolly not

--edit damn cheats dont help get the trophies, fuck

just play it without cheats or exploits, the game is way more fun, challenging and rewarding this way, I think cheats are reserved for that time when you've grown bored of the game and want to try something funny for the hell of it. I can understand kids using every exploit and cheat available ASAP just to get their precious trophies, lame.

lol see reply above mine, USE EVERY CHEAT YES ONE HIT KILL WITH UNLIMITED RPGs OMG IT WONT GET ME TH3 THR0PH135 1!!? FUCK

:lol :lol

That's certainly true and its a marvel that Insomniac nails what they set out to do 9 times out of 10 it did however make me feel that ND were picking up more than they could carry.

I hate to say it, but I really don't think ND will ever top this title. Everything about it just flows so perfect. Its not easy capturing lightning in a bottle twice.

yes I was thinking about it while on my Crushing run, everything comes together so perfectly in this game, it takes just a couple of artists or coders to leave the company for whatever reason to break the magic this group of people just casted in the form of a videogame.

Wah!? This works!? Dammit, as soon as I get this back from my brother I'm going to give it a shot. :D

I'd much rather see an Uncharted set in Africa, the textures are a lot cleaner.

Completly stuck in the snowy mountain part, with Tenzin and the part with the giant gears and all, jumped on a rope, swung on the other side(like most game, awful camera and controls on swinging parts),reached a ledge, it collapses...from there I have no clue where to go,tried a lot of things, always wind up jumping to my death...?

Agreed 100%, sooo much potential with Egypt as well.. dynamic sand deserts, rooftop city chase scenes in cairo, lush jungles and animal interactions elsewhere in africa.. MMMM :D

And whats the opinion on why Nolan North couldn't play drake in the movie??

-Seems to be the correct age to me
-Fully acted out all the scenes, so im sure he could handle being in front of the camera
-looks really close to drake

because he can't act. watch his episode of csi

not to mention he has no star power, no one knows who he is, he won't sell a movie. it isn't gonna happen

Look for thin poles sticking out of the walls that you can get to to swing on. They're kind of hard to see in that section

Not because I want to have Nolan act as Drake in the movie, but the term "Star power" is fucking bullshit.

I want a guy that looks like Drake, not Matt Damon, not Matthew Mcconaughey, or some other 'hollywood star' that share little to none resemblance to Drake.

Seriously, I'd rather have an actor that looks like Drake, is unknown and knows how to act than some fucking hollywood bread buff cause he's 'famous'.

Oh come on, where do you think people like Bruce Willis and Hugh jackman got their 'star power' from? Every actor starts somewhere.

"Star power" my ass.
