Nothing beats the huge
dagger statue room
in Nepal as far as the amount of detail goes. I honestly have no idea how people in charge even modeled in that much detail, much less managed to run in in realtime looking the way it does.

I just got to this :D Kerazy indeed.

Just unlocked Marco Polo and I gotta say, they really need to add sound effects to that model. As it is, it gives any player using it an unfair advantage in multiplayer. I fear matches will turn into skeleton only fests once more people unlock it.

I'm treasure hunting right now, but whenever I go for long stretches of time without finding anything, I tend to get a little anxious. :lol

Is there an in-game place to check how many treasures are in a single chapter?

I'm kinda stubborn when it comes to using online strategy guides, but I think in-game chapter stats would provide just enough context for me.

Chapter select screen has treasure info on it.

Now I'm FUCKING PISSED AT MY CONSOLE FREEZING. What the fuck? Happened twice in the last 30 minutes.
The first time, the XMB froze. Then, the game froze AGAIN in the trainwreck map (a few days ago I had another freeze in that map).
Damn, I never got a single freeze during the beta :/

Fuck.

4D can be quite taxing for a console ;)

the amount of instances throughout the game that are hilarious with Doughnut Drake is surprisingly huge. It seems like every second step Nate takes is through a tiny crevice, onto a floor that crumbles beneath him, being pushed up onto another ledge or climbing a surface and falling back down.

So true. :lol
Ice cave
with Doughnut Drake is especially hilarious.

I also agree with the skeleton skin comments. I'd appreciate it if they added some additional indicators for it.

Nice. I was watching NFL primetime and the commentator says something like "This guy is in uncharted territory...great game btw". Lol, mainstream baby.

Does anyone know why I might have an uncharted2 save file in my downloads folder? It days Oct 9th...where did this thing come from. Its a P3T file. I dont ever remember downloading it.

Wait, so if I want to beat the game on Crushing and keep my treasures from my earlier normal playthrough, I can just start Chapter 1 from the Chapter selection screen on crushing, right?

Nepal is nice and all, but the stretch from
the train
all the way up to and including
the truck chase
was just mind-blowing.

.p3ts are PS3 themes.

Isn't that the wallpaper format? Something like that. Maybe something left over from the beta?

I just beat Hard, with cheats. Got my in-game medal & trophy just fine ^^ So yeah, the glitch definitely works if you go through Chapter Select from Chapter 1. Totally confirmed :)

Cool sniper shot in MP. Guy jumps off bridge near base, I catch him mid-air

But I'm still getting messed up hit detection with the sniper

As you can see the cross hair is on his head, but the shot didn't kill him.

he just walked away :[

Oh shit.

I just always started my extra SP playthroughs from the very beginning, so I never even ventured into the chapter select menu.

Just the info I needed, thanks guys. Treasure hunting's fun again! :P

And as if to twist the knife to other developers, Naughty Dog threw up the rug on the whole
"getting chased by helicopters"
scenario that is in fifty games, and had you facing a
helicopter AS A FUCKING BUILDING COLLAPSES WITH YOU IN IT
. To say it was the most jaw dropping thing I've seen this generation is an understatement.

The best part of the whole level is this right HERE :D

I had to pause in awe, then die and restart so my brother could watch what happens when
the missile hits the building and the entire fucking room moves!!

Just playing through Path of Light...jeez. The stone work and all that is crazy, but then you climb
the dagger
and the detail is just eye popping.

I dislike 'generation ahead' talk, but now I dunno! It certainly feels like ND are a generation ahead in terms of the lengths they're willing to go to in their production of a game. They are bumping PS3 up to a new level with this.

I have to agree. The entire game is absolutely gorgeous, but when I walked into the
The Path of Light
chapter, I was floored. The music that plays in that level is incredible as well. Definitely one of the high points of this gen.

Got a couple chapters to finish up. It's one of those games that you just don't want it to end, but the length does feel just about perfect.

The most annoying this about this game is the awful visual glitch when you press up. It brings the black borders up, but at the bottom, you've got 2 pixels not covered by the black boarders. It's annoying as fuck.

That's my only complaint with the game, the long stretches of platforming.
It's kind of a silly complaint, since the first time they're beyond amazing.. but on subsequent play-throughs they become somewhat a chore because of the seen-this-done-that factor and the fact it's the combat in the game that's leaving me wanting for more and more.
The treasure hunting alleviates things.

It seemed more balanced in the first game.

Holy shit™

Speaking of trademarks, Sony/ND get Legal on this. ^^^

That way you can do this: "Uncharted 3™, or How I Learned to Stop Worrying, and say "Holy Shit™": The Game™"

By the way, I want royalties for the title.

I love all these, hope there's more. Listening to them talk, they all seem to "get it" and you understand why UC2 turned out so well. For example, when they were talking about the humor aspects, they realize that if they go overboard and make too many jokes it will get stale and overly campy. They understand the right mixture of seriousness and humor.

I will say, they probably did make one too many ass jokes in the game.

Yeah I didn't like the ice level. Far too much platforming.

Anyone else have this problem?

Well, it requires a platinum to unlock it. Which 100% of Uncharted 2 players will not unlock. It may be a little overpowered, but I'm glad my platinum trophy actually shows my accomplishment in game
even though it's pretty easy to get
.

A little off topic, but I was REALLY hoping for "platinum sackboy" when you got the platinum in that game, kind of like metal mario.

I loved it my first time around, but on subsequent play-throughs not as much. That gets back to the linearity of the game, and the lack of real challenge with the platforming. You start to feel like you're just going through the motions.

Seriously, that crap looks like a serrated knife. I've gone through 4 cables and two tvs (same brand). Is my PS3 to blame for those awful jaggies?

It's one of the many things I like about this game. I have never seen experienced a game with this much chemistry between the characters. And the mocap is so refreshing after seeing the more overacted mocap in some Japanese games.

And that helicopter scene in Nepal: I was laughing along with Drake after I got through it. That was a great scene.
