Also, FIX the damn disconnects and random drops ND.
We had people consistently dropping out over and over. Shit is not cool for such an awesome game. Patch or do whatever you gotta do to keep that shit steady please. Thanks.
I've experienced a lot of connection errors yesterday, and my MP character would freeze for 3-4 seconds in-game. It was unplayable. I've never had such problems since launch, and I'm pretty sure this isn't related to my decent connection.
Finished it three times now. Normal, Hard and Crushing which wasn't as hard as I thought.
On the Treasure hunt now, 77 or so. Really hard. I'm missing one from the first chapter and there's 5 in there!
Won't use a guide though.
Also, the game has some pretty nasty bugs, I've crashed at the same location on each playthrough and by falling at a certain place, instead of dying, the cinematic where
Drake's telling Chloe to get out of Shambala with Elena skipped and the cut-scene before fighting Lazerovich played instead.
I'd be pissed if this was my first play-through.
Excellent game, not perfect. Game of the Year is still Arkham Asylum for me though.
I'm sure it was, that's the feeling I'm looking for! ;-)
I started Uncharted 1 on Hard the other day and stopped. God, it's so freakin' frustrating. The shooting structure of the first one is so 'un-fun' (Enemy placement, Rushing to You behavior, etc.). Uncharted 2 has done it perfectly so I have trouble getting back to the first one.
When I pick up the game i'm definitely not going to use a guide..
I used it a good one (pics & local descriptions) in Uncharted 1 for quite a bit of the game but it made things quite boring (imo) so I just said fuck it and went through the majority 'blind'.
I could see people getting all of UC1's treasures without a guide, but you've got some balls if you did it with UC2, considering how more elaborate the hiding places of the treasures are.

I've found about 83 without a guide and I have no idea where the others are. I'm going to give it a few more tries before I give up and look. Most of the hard ones I've found by complete accident. For comparison I found 58 (59 if you count the Strange Relic) by myself.
Any word on sales yet? Only reference I have thus far is VG Chartz (not the best reference). And at 800-900k WW, it looks disappointing. This game deserves to do 3 times that if not more. I was personally hoping it would do at least 600k in the US first month. And over a million WW. If any game this year deserves it, it's this one.
So you played Uncharted yet you hate climbing shit and you hate shooting shit. It's like ordering a pizza and saying "damn it why is all this cheese on this thing? I'm tired of cheese!"

I am not at liberty to say what they are, but I literally just got the first week sales for the US on my desk this week -- and we launched 2 weeks ago. Needless to say it takes a little while for hard data to filter back right now.
I bought the game and my slim the other day, I've just started to crack into the game, but graphics and character wise all I can say is wow so far. Is Uncharted 1 a must buy as well? Does it take place directly before 2?

Oh come on Arne! Stop yanking my meat! Ask the guys at ND/Sony whether you can give any hint of a figure to the community whom love and appreciate your title so much!

And on the sixth day the LORD David Bowie created man and woman in His image. And he saw that it was good. On the seventh day the LORD created videogames so that He might take the bloody day off for once.
Anyone else see the UC2 commercial during South Park tonight? It basically was the entire action-packed 2 minute E3 trailer... but they cut out all the voices.
All the characters were passionately flapping their gums, but nothing came out. It was really awkward. Very weird decision for whoever cut it. Isn't the acting and dialogue half the game's charm?
Oh well, still very cool. This game's been getting some much deserved exposure.

I never skipped around the chapters for the difficulty (already have my platinum), but I've noticed everyone says that if you do you'll have to replay the last chapter for it to register that you've beaten them all on a certain difficulty. I'm curious if it's the last chapter that does the check or the credits. The reason I ask is because you can actually just view the credits right from the title screen by pressing triangle. If someone gets the chance they should try it to see if it works. Of course, Arne could probably just confirm it one way or another.
Good thought, but I just tried and no go. I believe the trophies are calculated between the end of the last cutscene and the beginning of the credits. I will have to go and beat the last level again sometime soon...it was hard for me! I don't feel like going through that again right now...the trophy is not all that important to me anyway.

Even if the US numbers on that site are not pulled out of their butts like they most probably are - going by them, I think the game would still sell at least 600K by the end of the month. And if it does, that would be more than three times what first game sold during that same time.
It's still #2 on Amazon, more than 2 weeks after release and its being cockblocked of first place by MW2 on 360. The marketing definitely seems to be working, not to mention the fantastic word of mouth and review scores (those are a deadly combination for the savvy consumer). I'd be shocked with anything below 800K this month in the U.S.
Please for the love and longevity of U2's MP. Pllease talk to the rest of the dogs about punishing those that leave(not disconnect) matches, especially in co-op since it kicks everyone out. I was playing in The Sanctuary tonight and some n00b called minimi57 or whatever was with me as I was playing with randoms, We got to the center tower where the first minigun guy is and you have to climb down in the building to the checkpoint. Me and the first guy both climbed down and sat there waiting for him, he kept falling and dying because he didn't know the right way down.(Did he not play single player?). We even told him and he said he didn't get it. Eventually after his seventh death he just dropped out and I lost 54,000 in points.
This happened two times tonight where randoms dropped out in co-op and it's very frustrating when you've come so far to be kicked out with no money or anything thanks to the incompetence of others.

Do you know who I am? Do you know how important and noteworthy I am in the Uncharted community? Please> I trained RyanardoDaVinci, CHRP, FullRecovery, Aj2good4you, HighLuxury, Kilgoreisdead, Jocchan....the list is endless. They may not be as good as me but I do play with them sometimes in co-op although we usually do normal MP. This has nothing to do with that anyway, what I'm raging about is the randoms(Parties are full sometimes) who make all the work you do worth squat.
Full Recovery said:
Why punish? Just give the people who stay the money they have won up to that point. The quitter should get nothing.
To differentiate and balance things. If you don't punish quitters, they'll keep doing it and ruin opportunities for their team mates. Co-OP crushing for example is easier with 3 people than 2, having a full party of 5 in a plunder match is more manageable etc.

After my second play trough (Crushing) I had found 97 treasures. Going back Chapter by Chapter looking for treasures and medals I found 2 more, but for the last two I had to ask gamefaqs... I kept repeating the levels without seeing anything.
Pretty happy of finding almost all of them on my own.
My third play trough is on "Very Easy", eheheh. I suggest it after Crushing. It is great fun since you can run and meele everyone. Feels like being in a Bud Spencer (do you know him?) movie and you can really follow the story fluently (I am actually doing this for my girlfriend to get into videogames).
Thanks. I'm not into multiplayer since I don't have the time to devote to actually get good and stay good at it. Guess I'll end up trading this in to get something else and pick it up again when it hits greatest hits.
