Uncharted 3 MP Beta Thread: Cinematic Murder Testing

Is there a prompt for when you receive an invite or something? I swear everytime I look at that tab, I have a bunch of invites from hours ago that I received no notification for. :|

Hardcore on Chateau are the best things ever. Top ranking everytime and our TEAM EVEN WON A FEW TIMES. Good times.

I'll be damned. Game isn't freezing for me anymore.

I did however just get kicked from matchmaking for team killing.
 
I really dislike the way how close quarter combat encounters usually play out for me. I just find it very difficult to aim at close range and I just feel like there is no way how to handle situation well. Melee does not feel right as well. I really miss shotgun in this. It should be added to base weapons to choose from. I really hope they will change the amount of bullet it takes to kill someone and make headshots actually useful.
 
They need to fix one of the doorways in Chateau. One in the courtyard, leading to the turret. It's a fully open doorway, but it's blocked by an invisible wall.

Yeah. Got killed there a couple of times. You can go around it, and in another door, but just that one, is blocking you. =/
 
Man G-MAL is a beast, but not as beastly as the Uzi, mother of all beastly weapons. Buh bye AK47.

Really? It seemed it was set on the easiest difficulty. :P

When I get into a close quarters situation, I either run around hip firing, or throw a grenade and roll away from it.

Yeah I don't think so. I've missed quite a few and didn't notice until they were offline :(

I'm not yet good at close-range scenarios, but it did click for me a couple of times - utilizing hip firing and grenades, barely escaping and rolling away with a double kill. Very satisfying.

They were smart, shoot a rocket at one person then as soon as everyone else runs over to revive the downed teammate, shoot off another one and kill all 3 at the same time....the bastards.

You don't aim in close quarters, ever. You blindfire the Uzi and circle around the guy. Maybe throw in a punch after half a clip is gone. Done.
 
Yeah I played a little bit of co-op arena yesterday. Seems a bit tougher this time around. Enemies tend to hide in cover more and swerve to the sides when being shot at.
 
Well, the level cap definitely isn't 25 because I'm already 27. However, I don't think you get any stuff after level 25.

Man, I must be really unlucky when it comes to treasure hunting. I haven't picked up a single set that unlocks any of the character accessories. Only emblem stuff. Of course, nearly every set there is is close to being finished for me.
 
The spawn point below the turret in the yard needs fixing. Earlier I spawned under the stairway that leads up to the turret. I had to kill myself with a grenade because I was stuck in that small room.
 
So I have an access code from buying Infamous 2, but the shitty sticker essentially ripped off the very top layer of paper when I removed it, so I can't tell what the last four letters/numbers in the code are. Any ideas as to how this might be rectified?

Why does that matter? You just need to download the beta. No one is going to delete it from your system.

Now that you mention it I think it was a buddy spawn in my case as well.

Where do you check the treasure sets?
 
to fix the patching issue, just let it sit on the patch confirmation screen for 20 seconds before accepting. It worked for me first time.
 
I got my first treasure drop from an enemy (I've picked up 1 from a chest so far) in TDM, but it was an afterlife kill and the score was 48-45. I couldn't get it because the match ended. Fucking balls.

It's just that many of the problems they're having surely should come up in a rigorous pre-beta test (that is, all of the freezes and massive framerate slowdown). As some others have mentioned, the beta makes the PS3 get absurdly hot, as in much hotter than when playing Uncharted 2 or AC:Brotherhood. Combined with the freezing, it makes me wonder whether this beta is actually hurting the console.
