Hey everyone!

May i get in on this as well? My GAF account got approved just recently, but i've been playing Uncharted 2 mp with some of you guys for the last year or so under the PSN ID everlong416.
 
Couple of questions:

• Do they use actual cross-game invites this time (through automated PSN messages)?
• Can you join friends mid-game?
• Can you join friends through the in-game XMB's friendlist?
• How is the voicechat-quality?

Hope someone can answer these.

I was pretty good in U2 with like a 1.6 KDR but that's with me focusing solely on the objectives over kills. Wins over KDR!

Very very quick, it almost goes on in the background as you muck about with all your setups etc. I remember in two it would boot you out of certain screens etc when the matchmaking was launched it doesnt seem to do it now. Also as someone who played alot of uc2 online having played two games of uc3 uc2 now feels like a barebones add on. Gameplay wise its still very much uc but feels different as well, there is soooooo much going on with setups perks etc its a bit hard to take it all in at first.

Can you compare the graphics?
 
Does anyone understand how the facebook integration works yet? When I looked at it, it doesn't seem to do anything or post anything on my profile.
 
Initial impressions, seems good. Movement feels kinda off, hard to explain. Like there's some lag to it? I dunno. The guns sound pretty loud this time. No scope on sniper rifle makes me sad, maybe it has to do with balancing issues? Would be too powerful if people just chose sniper. not a fan of the power play stuff. Matchmaking is pretty fast. Seems harder to find grenades for the moment, so not much grenade spamming.

Music seems brand new, with a reorchestration from one of the tracks in Uncharted 2.

Chateau reminds me of Uncharted 1 area.

You can throw grenades back but I haven't done it myself.

Very good to hear, especially considering the extremely low player count. More impressions please!

That's good. One of the reasons I did not get that much into U2 MP was that the matchmaking took forever.

That would mean they take a little longer to explode.

Awesome. I hated that in U2.

Erm its pretty hard tbh, i would say a slight upgrade to 2 but the animations seem alot better and more fluid. Is it me or is the camera also closer to the player?. Also anyone know what the facebook sign in does, i also love the little uncharted tv that plays in the bottom corner of the menu very nice.

just woke up and have nothing to do so I wouldn't mind to be added to the download queue, thanks, I'll give away my Infamous 2 code away later.

Has anyone else crashed or am I just unlucky? Crashed once at the end of the round (but my progress was saved), and just now I crashed again as the round was about to start up. :(
 
Some final first impressions before I go to bed:

Already ranked to 7 after 3/4 matches. Chateau has mounted turrets in the map, they take some warm up time to fire though so you can prepare when you need to cover. Some of the music sounds new, some of it sounds lifted from Uncharted 2, probably place holders. Oh, if you're avoiding spoilers, press start on the main menu cause it shows the trailer in the friggin Uncharted TV thing.

Uhm, what else do you guys want to know? Going to bed soon so ask q's

Graphical impressions, please! Also, you said weapons were louder; do you think they sound better than the UC2 poppers?
