Tried it out for a few matches and I don't know what it is but no one else is climbing stuff or going for crazy kills. Besides that and the occasional lag it's not bag. I still hate melee though, I go for a punch and either the guy backs up and unloads his whole clip in me or we both die.

Yeah. It's near perfect as is. They improve upon melee and fix the fact that the PS3 has locked up after every game I've played, and we're gold.

Yeah, I'm not fond of melee. I can honestly say I'd prefer Call of Duty's instant killing knife over this.

I have never had any trouble after any game and i've been playing for a good 3 hours
It's not so bad I think

Speak for yourself. At least in Call of Duty if someone gets the jump on me, it's over instantly. Here I have to have a long drawn out punching match that either ends with one of us dead due to sheer luck or one of us foolishly backing away (and getting a clip unloaded into them.)

I played 3 rounds of co-op, and two of team deathmatch. I have ~200 hrs into U2, what would you like to know?

Edit: Hours.

From you, I'd like to know what you think of the shooting and hit detection. How much of a difference does the new reticule/do the new weapon sounds actually make? From what I've gathered, the shooting feels much improved.

Also, how does the sprinting feel?

The Sprinting feels odd at first. I'm used to it now, but it wasn't what I expected from it. Your camera kinda shifts in and closer when you do it. Feels really cool when you dodge bullets, however.

And yes, the shooting is much improved. I mentioned this earlier, but I think this has some of the best hit detection in any multiplayer game.

Hit lvl 5 and taking a break. Really like the game so far. Still don't quite understand when the enemy players drop treasures (and you can pick up many same treasures it seems). And the powerplay really changes the tide usually (my team was losing with 12 points, 1 powerplay and we won by 4 points in team deathmatch). Gotta play more to give you better impressions.
 
I ended up staying on this much longer than I wanted to.
The split screen is great!
And it lets the second player log into their own PSN account!!
This is great.
Already. I can't imagine how much better this will get... :D

That's it for me tonight. Can't wait to hop back on this after work today.

Shooting feels much improved. The combination of the improved gun sounds + hit makers definitely adds what Uncharted needed to its gameplay. As far as hit detection goes, I can't say for certain whether my experience is just lag or bad hit detection, so you'll have to take into consideration what rest of GAF says, but it has had its inconsistencies.
Veteran players of U2 often used the pistol blindfire + melee tactic, and so far I have been unable to. Blindfire is really quick now, the strafing is super smooth. I end up not shooting enough or shooting too much, not to mention the...
Melee is pretty terrible. I've cleared hit a guy twice before he even hit me once, yet he still manages to pull off a second melee, when he should be dead. Same issue in Uncharted 2.
Powerplays do make a difference, but so far the better teams have still won. Haven't seen anyone with insane boosters + kickbacks yet, so we'll see.
As far as I can tell, there are no leaderboards and no K/D tracking, which is EXCELLENT. But that's just because it's a beta, unfortunately.
