Uncharted 3 MP Beta Thread: Cinematic Murder Testing

this game feels COMPLETELY different from UC2. And the sound effect for the AK47 or something is seriously horrible. Why is that gun so slow?
 
By the way, I can confirm the Plunder glitch. The treasure indicator sometimes stays on the treasure spawn position, even if the treasure is no longer there.

Can somebody do some impressions on the boosters and powerplays? Didn't see much of that stuff running through the thread,
 
can people please post if they have been kicked off with the "authentification failed" message,..? would be nice to know what is going on..

Everything feels "slow". And aiming with the DSIII is a horrible experience coming from KZ3 and move.

It's a lot slower. I'm not sure if I like it more or less than UC2. It's just different.
 
Damn GAF then messed it up for everyone already? Going to have to redownload the US client when I get home? Shame on GAF, shame on you.

Can you play the game if your logged into your HK account? Ip blocking?

Right now, I'm not really liking it, but I have to play more. You move slow, you aim slow, the guns shoot slower. I don't like how the movement feels.

Oh and I just got 3 power plays in 5 minutes, isn't life grand. The cursed power play is fucking GARBAGE.
 
Since people have had a chance to play, and there aren't any in-depth impression yet, should I update the OP, asking people to not ask for the account?

lol cursed power play is the worst shit in the beta that I've seen so far.


It does feel different initially but I'm used to the shooting/movement now. I don't think it's a big deal. While I'm still having fun, all the extra bullshit isn't really needed. Couldn't play hardcore playlist since it wouldn't match me with anyone. Bleh.
 
I got a code via IGN Prime but get the following message when entering it:

"The code you entered may not be correct or may no longer be valid.

Please check your entries."

Do they not work yet or is it just borked?
 
I really don't get that whole airplane scene. I mean, first they are on a plane that takes off and suddenly after that they are on a truck...I mean...what?
 
Finally back! Authentication failed for me also.

Not sure it's anything to do with sharing the Beta because It wont let me play even when I use the actual HK account that everyone has been using here.

I'm going to try and re download it now and see if that fixes anything.
 
gonna try some co-op now before I get logged out like everybody else...if I can find anybody

edit: guess coop isn't meant for me. Lets try team deathmatch

Codes don't work yet. Wait until the beta is actually up.

that's my bet, the Terms of Service of the Beta clearly stated 'Hong Kong only'. At least I was able to play some games with the GAF guys and reached lvl 7, fun game, controls need tweaking, they were much more responsive and less heavy/floaty in Uncharted 2. As for the gameplay I can't say much, only 10-15 games played, it's still Uncharted, with ridiculous autoaim when hip-firing the pistole and shotgun and same lag shenanigans, Chateau level is much nicer looking than the airfield whatever name it is, I don't understand why the other team got a power play in a TDM game when we were leading only by 3 kills, 46-43, well it's a beta after all. Didn't play coop, I'll try that first thing as soon as the Spanish beta is up (if Naughty Dog didn't ban me from the server lol)

did you change the password..? or is it some other random dude (sony Ninja)..?
 
what's this authentication failed business, is it failing for everyone or only for those that used the shared account?

We were playing on the Hong Kong beta client until the Sony Ninjas got the drop on us. Seems we have to wait until Grace Chen takes pity on us now.
