This is what a beta is for.
If you're talking about the co-op that are like mini missions, it'll be available in this beta too. Just not at the moment. They're switching up the playlists and Adventure co-op was listed there if I'm remembering correctly. I just don't know the exact date it's appearing in the playlist. Check the OP. Just a quick update - we're making changes to our matchmaking code/server so everything can go back up. There was an issue that popped up once the server was under a heavy load. I believe, from what my short conversation with VERY busy people were, that it's not a load issue, but just something else that the load exposed.
Either way, fingers are flying over the keyboard to get things up and running again ASAP.
Just give us a few minutes.

its just hit and miss. walk up to guy from behind and 50% of the time you'll take him out with a finisher which is how its supposed to be, but there's always an even chance of you just getting 1 punch, which leaves him room to turn around and throw a nade at your feet.

When sneaking up on someone, ALWAYS do it by blindfiring as you get closer, only after a good deal of bullets are in him do you use melee. In UC2 it only took one bullet from the pistol + one punch to kill, but it seems to take many more bullets in UC3. Melee has really been underpowered here it seems to me.
If there was a way to disable those "finishers" I would, most of the time they just leave me open for enemies to shoot me during the animation.
