Uncharted 3 MP Beta Thread: Cinematic Murder Testing

This freezing is making me want to pull my hair out! I can't even do a whole round of co-op before it dies. I'm done for the night. Hopefully it clears up a but tomorrow.
 
It only freezes while in a 3 team deathmatch for me (which is my favourite mode). but this is a lot of fun. I'm enjoying this a lot.
 
Ok so just tried the G-MAL. Much better, seems they fucked up the AK I guess.

Also lol at me being bad at shooters. Funniest shit I've heard all week.

Game is freezing the fuck out now.

It just starts off shit until you unlock the mods it seems.
 
It's just with some of the other guns like taking two shots with the Pistole or two shots with the shotgun, they seriously upped the health. Shotguns should be one hit kils and especially with the Pistole.

Turn your Ps3 off and let it cool off like 5-10minute and try again. That's what i did and now it's silky smooth.
 
I've been using the G-mal with heavy bullets perk and I'd still say there is too much health. Melee'd a guy he starts rolling away put at least 8 more bullets in him and I still died.
 
lol, apparently medals accumulate even if you have enough for a kickback. I had enough medals to use the smoke bomb kick back like 5 times in a row. Hilarious.

Also, the game isn't letting me respawn, awesome
 
Shit that turns me off MP more than anything is the running around the corner bullshit, yet your still getting hit and die, like the bullets chase you, FUCK!

Seriously can anyone (game companies) get their Hit Boxes right, its like it trails you, almost as if your shadow is getting shot at

Best moment, 48-48 TDM, run past the glowy chest, press triangle, 3 Medal pickup, RPG activated, turn 90 degrees, shoot it off, double kill, score 50-49
0 Power Plays, game was back and forth, biggest lead was maybe +/-3 for each side
 
Well, played my first match. I think controls are a little wonky, but getting used to them a litle bit. Finished my first match on hardcore with a 10/7 kd, so at least I'm positive even after all this time. Getting re-used to Uncharted.. I am surprisingly.. underwhelmed at the optics though. Kind of surprising. Alright, next match go!
 
I like the high health, makes it so the better team will win more instead of a lone wolf match. I was running around with my in-game buddy and we were mowing people down one by one.

Halo Reach did a similar thing, you need to be team shooting if you want to be productive.

Also spawning on your teammate is a very welcome addition.
 
'health sponge' complaints seem to come from laggy host games tbh.

Just had one with a terrible host (everyone kept 'double ko ing' eachother tekken style') and it felt like you aren't hitting anything or not doing damage.

It's nothing like that when it's not super laggy.

I thought it was shitty netcode that caused that, not the hit boxes.
 
It's the Ak. Just had three matches in a row with a K/D higher than 3. Oh and lol at PPs, just joined a team down by 12 with the VIP thing activated and we killed the VIP enough to win 50-48.

Hated that in Reach, mid-long range engagements were nearly impossible to finish without being assisted. IMO UC3 strikes a good balance; teamshooting is effective, but mid-range 1v1 fights will almost always end in a kill provided you can aim.

Glad it's just not happening to me, I thought my PS3 was dying.

I've had the same issue. I'm sure I just need to get use to the responsiveness of the new mp, but I kept dying behind the cover or walls I rolled behind after evading the enemies.

Very much so. That's been my biggest disappointment so far.

I think I'm going to wait a few hours before playing to see if the lighter server load will help me out with the framerate issues and the long matchmaking.

Gonna say lag, has to be, game runs fine, but holy shit

Doesn't help when RPG's + Grenades going off within a small vicinity

Movement grows on you, I struggled too at first.

You have to move close enough to objects to jump onto them (ladders/ledges) etc, once you learn the distance and timing its effortless.

Only problem is getting out of cover sometimes, you'll just keep rolling from cover to cover if there's too much stuff around you.
 
Whoever said smoke bomb is the cheapest kickback is right. Especially now that I know medals accumulate no matter if you have kickback or not, it's possible to be invincible as long as you can press UP real quickly in a heated moment.

Yep they are, another complaint I have.

PPs are going to make people rage so hard. Was in another match where my team is down by six. PP allows my team to get 10 points in a minute.
 
Something weird I noticed (maybe a bug), if you jump to a ledge/object and are pushing up on the left analogue stick you can't press L1 at the same time to aim with the pistol while hanging.
 
Played like 7 games so far and it's been smooth, I didn't get any of the problems you guys have had so far which is a good thing.

Feels a lot slower than UC2 which I'm not sure about yet, sprinting seems a bit pointless to me. It took a little while getting used to everything now and the aiming seems to have changed a bit but I can't quite put my finger on what is it that makes it so weird for me, oh well I'll get used to it too I suppose.

Health is really nice, I don't want it lowered but sadly, I guess they will at some point but hopefully they don't. I'll have to play more of it later but so far so good.

Also, I hate power plays, such a dumb thing in my opinion :(
 
You guys need to start posting on the official forums if you haven't already. Thus far, this is what ND has had the pleasure of reading in terms of feedback:

So far no freezes for me. Was concerned at the main screeen lag, but now all seems well. Second match top player in my team, I can't be that good anymore, these guys have to be awful.

Was so bad ass in my first match on airfield or whatever when were down to the last couple kills and I lobbed a grenade at a pair of enemies for a double kill finish.

And my karma came in the second round on the chateou level when after slaughtering a couple guys the whole roof caved in.. got a kick out of that, still don't quite understand it.

Gotta say, those bad ass Uncharted moments are definitely still here... Still feels a little wonky.

So they've gotten rid of the magnet platforming?
 
Alright I've been gone for like 12 hours. Does anybody know, if you still get those beta tester perks, if you are using the HK beta client?

Seriously. Until ND buff it, just pump people that try to melee with lead. You will win guaranteed. I don't think I have lost a 1v1 melee encounter by just continuing to shoot.

FWIW, I deleted my HK download and installed the US download and all my stats just carried over. I don't think it really matters which client you are using, at the end of the day everything is saved server side.

It threw me off when I saw someone mention the M9 earlier considering I was expecting it to be a handgun, but then I go ingame and see it's basically the M4 so now it makes a little more sense...lol

Still weird that they'd choose to use a military designation name for it unless this is the rifle that's the AR-M9 but it looked more like a Colt from what little I've seen of it.
