I think the best way to fix the micro would be to make it a power weapon. Hardly anybody even goes for the Magnum or the Pistole because they spawn with a weapon that's almost as good as those at close-mid range with a lot more ammo.

EDIT: It looks like me and Net_wrecker had the same idea. I demand the Micro's spawn to be in the zipline room in Chateau.

U2/3 MP is more about flanking and level traversal.

I know K/D doesn't matter, but that is SUPER inflated.
 
Using the Micro just unfair. I can just hip fire while running in circles around someone and still be able to connect and just melee them. I do get a chuckle when I here "WTF DUDE" or"Fuck this I'm going back to COD"
 
I'm in the camp that the micro should be a weapon pick up. If Naughty Dog makes it a weapon pick up, the pistol should remain the same as it is because if they increase the damage, it'll become Uncharted 2 all over again and the next micro where it was just one/two pistol shots and melee for the kill.

Zoibie, the map will be available in this beta. I believe in the next playlist update it will become available.

That's the problem with loadouts. There should be the AK47, Sniper, and G-MAL as starting long guns. 92FS as the only sidearm. Pick up weapon mods and more powerful weapons around the map.
 
they should drop the 'long gun' thing and just make it primary and secondary weapons. make it so SMGs/ARs/Shotguns/Snipers are primary weapons that you can choose to spawn with, a few pistols to pick from as your secondary weapon, than the more powerful weapons scattered around the map

Micro is fine. I'd rather have that than Camp N Snipe online, I already have a game for that.

And grenades are also fine, I hope they don't change at release.

The only thing that really pisses me off so far is the Double Damage Power Play - such a p.o.s way to discourage good players. I tend towards Hardcore more often, but for some reason I encounter a lot more lag in that mode than regular TDM.
 
What the hell! Just killed four guys at the same time (!) and didn't get a Connect Four medal! Do we not get these in Team Objective?

I also didn't get a Tripled for a similar situation a few minutes after that. Scratch that, it was a four-man kill as well in the same match.

Are four-man kills glitched or what?

EDIT #3: I went to my medal records and there are indeed 2 Connect Four medals that I think are from this match and did not pop up in the match or in the cinema file. However, the Fire In The Hole medal that I got from exploding 3 or more enemies at the same time is not on my records. So there is definitely an issue with both medals not displaying and not registering correctly.

I uploaded the match and can send the cinema file to someone so this can be checked. Arne?

Yeah, I think its powerful enough to make a weapon pickup.

NOBODY uses the pistol over the micro, while both should be viable options. No idea what they are going to do.

Make the regular pistol worthwhile (like U2). Good for long distance and decent for CQC. The micro (was) good in U2 for CQC, and crap for long distance.

Happened to my team earlier today. I was MM the first game and didn't get killed. Second game we had a random become MM and he just stood in spawn :(

yeah these are the reasons I will stop playing competitive and just stick to coop eventually, seems like the game requires True Skill to play... not.
 
Well CO-OP hunter is super nice, first I have to play with an idiot who doesn't do anything (ok, he was only lvl 5 but still), then the game sort of freezes after a while, then the timer runs out, the game unfreeses and that bug where the game doesn't continue happens. Ain't that nice.

Back to Team Objective

edit: out of the past 7 people over level 25, 7 only use micro smg. But I have gotten pretty darn good at exploiting them. Kill one, pick up their smg, kill them again, repeat. Switch to your normal weapon and kill them because they'll try to avoid you. Got like 8 kills in a row in the last match with that tactic
 
I wouldn't mind the Micro becoming a pickup weapon instead and have the raffica unlock in its place. We haven't seen the full weapons list so it's hard to say, but I'm hoping the raffica is an unlock since it'd be perfect for plunder matches yet it's not beastly up close so people can still kill you.

The point of having these weapons is to make them good in certain situations. They should be balanced so they have their strong areas but they also have weak areas like the raffica up close. The micro doesn't really have any weaknesses since it can still easily kill at long range. It makes using other weapons pointless since you have a gun that's great all-around.

I still think the pistol in UC3 is crap, but I've started to use it instead of the micro and although I don't get as many kills with it like the micro, I've gotten used to it's shitty-ness where I can take out people from long distances and at close encounters. Maybe what they can do is slightly increase the damage of the pistol when you're aiming it and make it weak when you're blindfiring it so that there's no more pistol blindfire + melee kills. I don't know if that would be possible to do, though.

I honestly don't think it's fine and I'm surprised to read that you're fine with it. With the way it is now, every mode becomes a micro fest. You mentioned you don't want a camp and style play and that's fine as I also don't like that kind of play occurring in the matches, but I also don't like the way things are right now.

45K in 5 minute match in Cheteu/Objective by constantly doing objectives. Who said that you can't get money from TObj?

edit: hey, that highlight reel was playing on the stream thingy!

You weren't able to start with the Micro in UC3. (edit: I misread your post, haha. Nvm)

Also, making the micro a main weapon wouldn't do much either. I've actually wished it was at points, so I can rock the mag along with it. They absolutely need to nerf it, the thing is ridiculously easy to use.
 
Enjoyed each match of Team Objective during which my team members knew what they were supposed to do and rushed to objectives instead of wandering around, confused. Countless times I joined a team of people who are mostly "killers" rather then achievers when comes to helping out with objectives. It's most obvious when the only point we get is during deathmatch "objective".
 
Seems like the now open beta drove some new people into the beta.

About 30-40% of the players in my matches are green rank or low silver.

Good stuff. Looks like Arne was right.

They should give the Micro a crazy moving reticule when hip shooting, like Jar Jar Binks crazy. Even on Hardcore 70% of the kills are with the micro.
