Uncharted 4 Patch 1.15-Classic MP Mode Beta, Pro/HDR Support

CLASSIC MODE YES!
BrokenGamezHD and other youtubers would be happy with this news aswell lol

Now I await Coop

Is it Classic Mode if you can still use the grappling hook? I feel like people would complain about that.
That might take some debate. On one side you are correct, it might not be a true classic mode (more like hardcore mode). On the other side, grappling hooks are part of the core gameplay of U4.

Looks like I need to reinstall 4 so I can finally start giving a shit about Uncharted MP for the first time since 2. Classic mode is all I've ever wanted

i am genuinely surprised this hit so fast.

maybe fast enough to make a difference, who knows.

wish they'd apply these changes to all modes, absolutely no one is going to miss sidekicks.

weapon pickups + no radar will go a long way toward making the game feel like Uncharted.

weapon pickups will dramatically alter the game for the better, even if its just heavy for now.

Classic mode!

Exactly what I was thinking. When it's built into the core of the game, you can't necessarily get rid of it. Not that I would personally complain about it, but there still a lot of people who are bullish on Uncharted 2 multiplayer.

I don't think anyone in their right mind hates the grappling hook, it's an extension of the existing gameplay and every map is designed with it in mind (certain routes only work with grappling hooks).

All fans have ever wanted is none of the new BS they added (mysticals, in-game store, radar, loadouts, and downs/revives) with weapons spawning on the map.

It doesn't literally have to be 1:1 to UC2's MP. It just has to be close enough, which with all those things removed and the addition of weapon spawns it will be damn near UC2 1.04.

Classic mode removes radar, in game store, mysicals, and sidekicks and heavy weapons spawn on the map.

Time to go back to U4

Classic mode, all I've wanted since the beta. Should have been in at launch, but I can make some time for UC4 even now.

I'm curious about one thing: does the removal of the in-game Store also mean it won't be possible to upgrade your Gear?

Totally forgot about the weapon spawns.

Please tell me they eliminated the downs/KO "feature" too

Even if it doesn't for this weekend, next weekend is another variation of Classic Mode they're trying out so... I'm wondering if that's where the distinction between the two weekends will be?

One with downs/revives and the other weekend without + whatever else they want to try?

Edit: nevermind, QTrain confirms no downs/revives! YES!!!!

You cannot upgrade gear.

I like HDR in first light. Don't really know what to think of it in uncharted 4 yet. It seems more realistic overall in a way? (but not really better)

A thousand times, this. If classic mode even begins to touch old school Uncharted MP, I have no doubts it'll hook me like the old ones did.

The tricky thing about doing a "Classic Mode" is what does that even mean? We went back and forth about that in the office quite a bit and we eventually landed on just trying different rule sets. We're going to see how people respond to this version and make some adjustments (if necessary) and try out another version next weekend or down the road (I'm not positive on exactly when). We are working on another competitive mode and the coop mode is looking very good.

Do loadouts currently exist? If so, does it include the mods for weapons or do those get turned off as well?

Not that they're problematic anyway I'm just wondering.

Loadouts consist of weapons (no heavy weapons) and their mods/hero versions and boosters. Some boosters won't be useful so you'll need to make some Classic Mode specific loadouts to maximize everything.

Very promising! Looking forward to trying out the Classic mode and Co-Op in the future (it's coming in november right?)

Yeah I've seen you guys throw this question out there whenever it was brought up. There are several different camps in terms of what people want from a Classic Mode -- you want to get it right for most people.

Hope you get this mode done and co-op out before year's end.

Ah, gotcha. Sounds good to me.

Out of curiosity and I'm not sure if you can answer but is the co-op mode based upon the SP or MP? To clarify what I'm asking and the reason I ask is because the melee system in uc4 changed in mp meaning you can't cover to cover kill AI when you try in the trials, so I was wondering if it was gonna be the same in co-op?
