I think in the US the price is normal, but in other regions it's been inflated for some reason.

Halo 5's CE is a joke too. I want the steelbook and REQ items but I'm forced to pay $100 just because of some stupid ass statue. Other option is spending like 250.
I remember spending 5 extra to get the halo 2 collectors edition.
Collectors editions these days are a joke. Especially with these ridiculous price conversions you guys get overseas.

The one with the statue is $120 US.

But £100 is pretty much standard here for special editions. The Halo 5 editions are £150-£200 for comparison.

How the hell is that £99 in the UK? In the Netherlands even the most expensive price is only €80,-.... For reference, with the current exchange rate you could get the Libertalia edition for that price.

To me it seems like they've made that stupidly expensive so that people'll look at the edition with the statue and be all "it's only 20 quid dearer, I might as well get that one."
I got the Uncharted 3 special edition (the one that's case was a cardboard version of Nate's journal) from them for £45 when it came out; this doesn't seem like it's any better than that in all honesty, or at least not goddamn £55 worth of extra stuff.

People who buy special or collectors edition are rich, so this kind of exploitation especially from GAME is not surprising. They will buy it no matter what, and most items in special editions are a waste of space. They're for collectors to display and take photos of for online bragging rights.

Stop being a chump in buying all these inflated ridiculous special/limited editions of games. They are not collectables, games are not some limited edition comic.
They are games and you are buying games for the content on the disks not the physical package. They are designed to milk more money out of chumps.
