Well it was Sony who made the deal. Game probably had to pay to get exclusive rights to sell hence why the price is pretty high.

Sony (or for that matter MS/Nintendo) do NOT set the prices that you pay in stores, they obviously have a trade price and the more a store group pays the cheaper it is but the final price you see in a shop is set entirely by the store selling it.

Game are notorious for this kind of thing, with Project Cars they were selling the PS4 version for a good £5 more than the XBO version due to the PS4 one being far more popular in the first couple of weeks of release. This had nothing to do Namco/Sony/MS but was entirely decided upon by Game.

While I do agree GAME is overpriced. The fact that they got exclusive rights to sell in UK means they made a deal with Sony, that cost money, hence they will up the price of the collector edition to turn a profit. Sony is at fault as well as GAME.

Almost all special and collector's editions are a joke. Dust-collecting, poorly made statues, mass produced gimmicks and shitty steelbooks that make you feel like you'll break the discs when you pull them out.

I never pay extra for that crap. It's a waste of money.
