Underrated Video Game Soundtracks

I've always felt like the music of the Heroes of Might and Magic series is underappreciated. There's some really beautiful celtic melodies in there, which may not grab your attention immediately but are well worth the payout if you give them a chance. Lots of nice harp/flute play.

Heroes IV probably had some of the best examples of this with its overworld themes:

Hope
Searching for a Dream
Floating Across Water

Remember Me's soundtrack is one of (if not my) favorite video game soundtracks ever. It's sooooo good. The game as a whole is underrated as well, but the soundtrack is godly. It blends in with the game so well, and does a great job at mixing electronic beats with other types of music. Every single track is fantastic

Definitely agree Olivier Derivere did an awesome job putting it together

Super Turrican on the SNES by Chris Huelsbeck. Most would prefer Super Turrican 2's OST or the other versions (Amiga or Genesis) and their soundtracks (and the SNES game wasn't that great either). But I still prefer this version's OST over the rest.

Almost every tune is rocking out.

Honestly the only track I liked from Super Turrican 2 was Wormland, because it sounds like something out of 80's synth compositions.

I wouldn't call TA underrated, just forgotten.

For those who remember the game, it's commonly accepted that it has one of the best videogame soundtracks ever. The game has won plenty of awards (including numerous "best RTS of all time" and "best game of all time"). Several of those awards were for the soundtrack:

I say that as someone who always includes TA in every single "best videogame soundtracks" thread I've ever posted in on any forum I've ever been a member of.

For my contribution to the thread, I'd say Star Control II and Resonance of Fate as two games not known for their soundtracks, but are excellent nonetheless.

Deus Ex Human Revolution.

I am calling it underrated because there are people out there who do NOT consider it to be the GOAT.

Thats what it is GOAT.

Chris Huelsbeck as a whole deserves a lot more recognition.

Nice! I remember playing Headhunter but I couldn't recall what the soundtrack was like. Those are some damn good tracks.

This was meant to be a new thread, hence the title.

*facedesk.*

If it makes you feel any better, I just posted in that thread lol. :)
