The ban of speech that promotes or leads to imminent violence is essentially the only restriction on free speech.

The law is a blunt instrument, and case in point, it's likely that the current administration would use any laws that curtail the first amendment to bludgeon the groups it was designed to protect.

Well they made it pretty clear the following violence had nothing to do with free speech, thats not a question for anyone. Still, all they did was doing their job, even if we like it or not.

The events of Charlottesville are definitely very important and at the top of everyone's minds as they pay attention to what's going on in the country. That being said, we've had somewhere around 40 or 50 threads on the subject in the first 5 days since. It's taking up a lot of our space and making it hard to talk about everything else.
