ParticleReality said:Oh? Buy me one, I'll pay you back in 15 years.
_leech_ said:Just check the European list.
B.K. said:I have quite a few games that weren't released in Europe. Can't check them!
_leech_ said:You should check anyways. Some games - like Bully - were released under a different name.
B.K. said:I can't even afford the 20 gig model. :lol
I have quite a few games that weren't released in Europe. Can't check them!
ParticleReality said:Well if you really want this $600 over 15 years I suggest you sell sperm and blood like the rest of us.

He means weren't released under a different title...vanguardian1 said:Xenogears and Final Fantasy Tactics don't work on the new PS3's? Damnit, I'll never give up on those two games. >.<

Vyse The Legend said:Uh, check the US site for PS1 games. All regions and models use software emulation for PS1 games.
But the 32MB of RDRam and the bilion additional traces on the motherboard aren't.Diablos said:Meh, the EE-GS chip is so cheap
Diablos said:edit: Some games for PS2, like FFX, X-2, and XII, have multiple listings. Some are listed to work fine, others with noticable issues. Why? There's a bunch of the same game with different SLUS numbers or whatever.

Where the hell is the fanfare?

EEGS chip was replaced by GS, so obviously chip savings itself are marginal, the stuff that was actually removed was far more expensive then either chip though.
Games are sometimes changed as well. There are numerous versions of Ocarina of Time on N64, for example. You'd never know the difference just playing through it, but there are small bug fixes and things like that.Lain said:If this is related to the European BC site, it's pretty simple: Some games have different releases for different regions, while some have a single release with multiregion localization on the disk. Then there's the single release with only english localization.
So, some games are listed multiple times, and have different compatibility levels.

davepoobond said:was Xenogears even released in Europe?
KongRudi said:Maybe their just slow updating the list, compared to how soon they fix the compability, but either way, the software BC exceeded my wildest expectation, and so far it hasn't brought me any trouble.
BC will most likely be better in US, since the localization in Europe probably changes alot more versions of the same game.
