US PSN Summer sale (July 2nd-16th)

Can add some game breaking glitches in the second one too.
 
Some great deals, I think I'm going for the Hitman Trilogy - these seem like some nice games to tide me over the summer :)
 
...and now the wait begins for Grace Chen to get around to updating the Store...I'm thinking it'll update 12 hours from now~
 
Shadow of the Colossus (PS3) – PlayStation Plus Price: $5.00

Never played it and this is tempting. I won't be playing it for a bit though would be nice if it hit PS+ instead.
 
Not a fighting fan but since I don´t have a single fighting game and the wife likes MK I will be all over MK at 9.99. Something else to play with my son and my Brother in law when he comes over.

Is MK on the PS+ free game list? Might consider getting plus.

MK PS3 was an EU Plus freebie some months ago.

Yep - in addition to this deal, I'm also waiting for Telltale's new Walking Dead episode "400 days".

I think we have a few more hours to spare, it's not even noon yet on the west coast.
 
I think I'm going to go for Shadow of the Colossus and the Prince of Persia Trilogy.

I figured SotC would've been in the instant game collection by now.

I think I answered this? Anyways yes, there's only a few games with incompatible saves between retail and DD, and no DLC exclusive one way or the other far as I saw. Certainly the free BF3 DLC loaded fine for me.

Wow, I just saw this (said before I wanted it). That's unfortunate.

I would just buy the PC version but I don't think it has controller support.
 
Amazing. Gonna have to bite on the Simpsons arcade game (dat nostalgia for friends when they're over)...and maybe even MK9 for $5.

Was Scott Pilgrim cool? I mean....$2.00....
 
Do we know yet if PS4 will allow you to pay remainders instead of a $5 minimum? I want to buy Batman but it's a little annoying I have to add $5 instead of adding the $2.50 I need to fill out my wallet. :/

It's not a big deal, just a little irritating

The only reason I really want it is to have a fighting to play with friends, but is it actually good for that?

It has pretty much the best local multiplayer local mode ever, "Test Your Luck."
 
Anybody else having trouble buying black ops 2 for 37.79(PS+)? Click add to cart and it says its 59.99. Been arguing with the Sony customer service about it. I see it being 37.79. They see that price but because the store is "updating" we don't know what the real price is
 
Can anyone tell me why it would list Alice as not available for purchase? I'm using the webstore as I won't be near my ps3 until after the sale... But it simply lists it as unavailable :( Selecting tell me more says I've already purchased it, which I have not... But I believe I may have the 60 minute trial sitting on my harddrive, so perhaps that is the issue?

$5 can't go wrong, if you end up really liking the game you can just spring for the DLC Character + Skins bundle.
 
Weird, Alice didn't show up on the list for the sales, had to search it to find it. I'm using the web store btw.

I bought MK a few days ago, just bought Alice. Sweet deals!

Europe got it 2 months ago, so i'd say it will be on the US collection soon enough. It's a cheap sale price, so I guess it all depends how much people want to play it.
 
MK was really tempting but I need money for Steam sales and I don't like Fighting games all that much so imo it would have been a waste.

Instead I got all the games I wanted to from this sale for the most part.

Alice, Ratchet & Clank, Force Unleashed II, LEGO Batman 2 for PS3, and PoP: Forgotten Sands.

About $28 spent all together for 8 games. Not bad imo.
 
I bought two PSP RPGs, Crimson Gem Saga and Riviera. Also picked up Alice: Madness Returns and The Force Unleashed 2. I figure even if the game is absolutely terrible four dollars is well worth satisfying my curiosity about that title.

On the off chance anyone else would run into this problem.... I had my gf boot up my ps3 and let the hour timer run off. Then it would let me buy the game. That was the only solution I found as all other ways (I even guided my gf through the store and it still said I had purchased the full game, when in fact I had not) did not work. I literally had to let the game run its trial to be able to purchase it. Kind of annoying really.

Unlikely to be added to US soon if it went on sale right now. Games on sale are supposed to have a moratorium before they show up on Plus as freebies. At $5.00 I'd say go for it. I paid $50 for it on PS2, bought it on disc again as part of the ICO collection, and didn't regret either purchase. An amazing game.

Was Tron on PSP any good? I enjoyed the PS3 version. I loved Tron legacy so any little but is at least something.
