NIS America just hosted its 2019 press conference, and they announced the western localization of the remake iof the original Utawarerumono, titled Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen.
The game will come for PS4 and PS Vita in early 2020. Yes. You read it correctly. This game is going to be released on Sony’s portable console one year after its discontinuation. We have to give props to NIS America.

About the Story:

For the first time ever, the origins of the Utawarerumono saga are coming overseas! Prelude to the Fallen follows the story of a man with no memories who awakens in a strange world, and is taken in by a tribe of kindhearted villagers.
He is raised as one of their own, eventually receiving the name “Hakuoro.” When neighboring nations begin to encroach on his village, Hakuoro rises up against the tyrannical invaders, setting off on an unforgettable journey that lives on in the songs of legend.

FUCK YES. The Masks games were my favorite games last year and come with my unequivocal recommendation. I've seen the anime for this one, but I want the full 30 hour visual novel experience.
