I am really liking the pigtailed girl. She's the first FFXIII character design that interests me. She doesn't look over the top or anything like that and reminds me of Nomura's FFVIII and X character designs, which are my favorite.

How can you say the FFVIII designs are your favourite and not like Mr.33cm? He basically feels like a much better version of Seifer (And I loved Seifer's design).

Her design doesn't actually make any sense. Buckles here, straps there... one piece of shoulder armor, one glove, a turtle neck Zipper Tifa thing with a whacky collar, a cape. It's just wildly impractical and silly looking. Not to say some people don't like that, and believe me I don't require realism or anything like it, but it is not appealing for me whatsoever. Beside not being practical, it looks fucking retarded altogether. It's busy and overall an extremely weak effort.

God dammit not knowing anything about this is driving me insane. Wtf is the deal. No clue what FFXIII or XIII versus is about, if the stories coincide, or how the game play will be. It better fucking be the most amazing FF I've played for the secrecy Square is pulling.

I'd argue that the facial and hair design for both of the XIII and Versus XIII main characters is excellent, but yes her costume is more of the FFX-2/KH infamous Nomura impracticality than some of the more muted stuff he's done (Advent Children, the Versus guy).

Fair enough, I thought she was okay. Although apart from her and the pigtail girl I'm not really that big on much else about the rest of the designs for either game.

To be honest, I think Lightning is one of the best Nomura's designs recently (by recently, I mean his KH stuff), and is far better looking than Tidus.

Mainly her clothes remind me of Aeris (atleast the little bit i can see) and the hair is like Grivenger said, Penelo like.

do you expect people to dress conservatively in games...I think it looks good, especially compared to the bland anime designs most rpgs series have (minus atlas stuff of course)
