A big reason is even though the backgrounds are 3D, the gameplay is still 2D.

I mean because I want to play it on day one, no questions asked. If it hits like Star Ocean 3, it'll sell a million plus and we'll have to deal with the awkward proposition of a Valkyrie Profile game with a red Greatest Hits label... but who knows. I don't really care.
