Correct me if I'm wrong (seriously I'm trying to understand here): the only difference this makes is how hot will the system get, how much cooling does it need, and how battery efficient will it be. Correct?
I don't understand any of the other reactions on the first page of people who say "I'm out." Whether this is based on Pascal or Maxwell, we know that it is a custom chipset that will be more powerful than the Wii U and allow for easy porting from other modern systems.
Even if it used Pascal, it was never rumored to be as powerful as PS4. All rumors stated that this would be somewhat less powerful than an Xbox One, but still capable of running the same games and supporting the same engines.
So, for people who say they are out, did you actually expect the Pascal architecture to make the hardware capable of playing the same games as PS4 with no downgraded graphics? I'm really trying to understand.
