I have a problem with shaming a female presidential candidate, especially one who campaigned on breaking the glass ceiling, into going into hiding after losing to someone who abuses women. It's the worst take possible. I don't care about her relevancy or how uncomfortable it makes anyone feel, this is a historic candidate who has reached out to girls across the country with a positive message. It's meaningful that she would show the world that even in these insane circumstances, it's better to hold your head up than to hide.

Even HRC's own staff considers Daou unhinged (per one of the leaked emails), which makes it all the more curious that she would publicly endorse his efforts.
Fun fact: look up what Daou had to say about Obama's foreign policy back in the day. Dude sounded like Glenn fuckin' Greenwald.
Of course, it's pretty apparent now that he was just looking for reasons to bash Obama out of bitterness over the primary.

It mystifies me how so many Americans have such a lack of judgement of character that they are mystified by Hillary Clinton and the additional challenges that a female candidate faces at that level of politics. There's apparently a problem with her 'charisma', while the guy who won is entirely indecent, lacks any semblance of character and has no redeeming human qualities. But there's still something about Clinton, right? What is her deal, she's so unappealing. Mystifying.
Her gender is a part of this, but part of it is a very successful smear campaign that's been after her since the 90s. She's been smeared so thoroughly that her own supporters have still, to a degree, bought into it. You even see element of it on this site, which is very pro.
Not saying that she hasn't been partly to blame here, but there is an external element here.

It's interesting how in a country full of odd personalities, a few quirks and odd character traits make her such an enigma. It's total bullshit really, they're either drawing conclusions based on their own bigotry, conscious or not, as well as their misconceptions due to propaganda/smear. It's not Hillary Clinton's character that was the problem, it was the voters and those who don't have the judgement of character who find it 'mystifying' that she would be deserving of support.

She ignored the swing states that pushed the EC win to Trump...she never really took him seriously and played nice instead of going for the jugular as she should have.

I supported Hillary during the primary and the general. I admire her pragmatic, serious, technocratic approach to politics and her foreign policy.
She's also a flawed candidate, exposed to decades of baggage and miscalculated priorities (taking paid speeches from wall street during time of historic anger at the financial class, her email misjudgement etc). None of this compares to Trump's flaws, but they're real and reinforced negative perceptions of her.
Her campaign was a failure because she was all strategy, all policy, with no simplistic message that could be meme'd to everyone. You can see swivel-eyed loons for Trump every time you turn on Fox, he invites and cultivates a cult-like following because he's all charm, no substance.
My mystification comes from not understanding why you need swivel-eyed loons for a serious, policy-based platform like Hillary's. It feels to me like a sensible party, focused on evidence and rigorous policy proposals, shouldn't need a 'Breitbart' equivalent.

Because Verrit was created by an HRC personality cultist with a severe persecution complex, and is aimed strictly at other HRC personality cultists with similar persecution complexes. Despite what Daou says, it's not actually for the vast majority of Clinton primary or general voters, let alone for anyone who supported HRC primarily for substantive, policy-based reasons.
