I decided to make some myself from Mario pictures I got from google, and footage from Mario Galaxy. When I get results I am happy with I will upload it at a ridiculous resolution and make it available for everyone who wants it. I'm using a free tool called AndreaMosaic, so if you have the patience you can do this yourself too. This is a zoomed in shot. I'm still tweaking the settings so I don't want to show the full picture yet.

edit: Ok, full image. I'm going to look for a host for a 2600x4500 pixel, 6MB image file.

SapientWolf, la.gg can support your image. Only those higher than 10 MB can't be uploaded there, which evidently isn't the case with your Mario picture.

Ok, I uploaded the huge Mario mosaic to La.GG. I'm still messing around with some settings so I might be able to improve on this.

Is there software that compiles pictures like that into a bigger picture for you, as I am boldly assuming you didn't do that by hand?

I kindly request a metric asston of hi-res Blizzard art. Not wallpapers, if possible. Any game. Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo. Lost Vikings?!?! (I don't think there exists hi-res LV art, but if you can find it, holy shit, I will have your babies.)

try right-clicking on "save this file" and choose "save this link as..." although I didn't have the same problem as you.

MAZAIKA does that, just select a picture you want to turn into mosaic and a folder of pics to be used as tiles.
it's not free though, there are probably freeware alternatives though.

I have gave the thread a quick read, but I dont think this has been brought up...

Is there some European based site (or US one that ships worldwide) that I can upload some of these images to and have a rolled up poster come magically to my house?

I know a print shop would be the smartest option, by my 'local' one is a few hours round trip.

posterxxl Netherlands only prints on glossy paper (photo material, no poster material)

Does anyone have any experience with http://www.largeformatposters.com/ ? I just used them to print an 18x32 poster of the Mario picture, because the name brand print shops are expensive and kind of weird about printing copyrighted stuff, and I don't think any of the local shops work with sizes that large. I guess I'll post a picture of it next week.

For some reason I have the same problem with Firefox.
It only works on IE.

That's weird because I live in The Netherlands and I was able to choose all the options. I printed the exact posters you did and got them on posterpaper, not glossy photopaper.
