Viking : Battle for Asgard heading to PC next week!

Hope the patch uncaps the frame rate. I mean seriously wtf was Hardlight thinking? Pc gamers would be happy with a 4 year old port capped at 30 fps? Combined with other obvious issues this is not establishing a good reputation.

Nice that they put out a quick patch but how were some of these things problems in the first place.

Game HAS to be patched...

Nvidia cards = no text displayed
AMD cards = a few reports of game crashing at start
Wireless 360 controller = messed controls

Wow...

:/
*salutes*

Obviously a quick cash grab by Sega once they realised they still had this in the vaults. "having 4 years of time" doesn't mean shit when you give a team switching gears to mobile development a couple weeks to crank out a port to an early PS360 game.

Text is fixed. Can't comment on the controller since I use a wired 360 controller. That worked fine.

Just got done playing for a couple hours, game is great. Hack and slash to your hearts content. What surprised me is there is a nice mission structure to the game. Good way to mix up the mashing of slicing up enemies.

30fps is a downer for sure, but there is fun to be had. I'm running into a strange audio glitch, however. Every time I leave the game I get an audio buzz that doesn't stop. The only way to get rid of this error is to reset the computer.

So I guess this game was given out to the people who bought the Total War collection a few weeks back? This game randomly popped up in my steam library, didn't even notice it there.

Apparently you get this game for free if you've brought Total War collection in the past.

HOW!?

I bought that in the past when I got Shogun 2 and wouldn't mind getting this free.

nvm seems like it's only for those who bought that epic ÂŁ70 collection and not the previous (less awesome one) that I got for ÂŁ40 over a year ago.

Guys, for the mess up wireless controller, extract this on your game folder:

Its like a way to make the 360 pad emulate the 360 pad, so yeah... but it works :D

Thanks going to try this because I use a ps3 controller to emulate a 360 one via motionjoy and it isn't even recognized in game or the config.

edit - uhh I guess its working so far! Thanks

I'm one of a few who LOVE THIS FUCKING GAME!!! =)

And I'm gonna play all over again! ^_^

That game fucking rocked. I'm tempted to get this again if theres a decent upgrade.

Good game. Gets way too much undeserved hate.

I love it as well, completed it three times on 360! Can't wait to play it again on my PC.

Totally underrated game, comes recommended. Weird timing, though. Latest port this side of Castle Crashers? 4 years is a long time. :p

Great game and more people need to discover it. Late but its better late than never.

Fucken great

:O

great game. highly underrated.

I loved this game, this is an awesome surprise :D

This! Loved it on 360. One of a few games I bothered to 1000/1000.

oh my god i'm not alone??

i fucking LOVE this game. any excuse to replay it (esp master race edition) is amazing. will wait a few days to see if any additional patching happens before buying.

Finally installed it and everything works fine except the buttons on the 360 controller are all different from the game prompts, and there doesn't seem to be any way to change them. Strange error, but game is still playable.

There's a link in the last page that will help you with that.

It's on sale on GMG with an accompanying Steam key. How is the game overall? The setting intrigues me, but the main character looks terrible.

The game is fun as hell. You Creative Assembly/Total War fans who also love action games need to play it. The large scale battles are like something out of Braveheart, but even more brutal, with a Viking theme and monsters and shit. It's a gem for sure.
