I was just wondering how Virtua Figther 4 Evo will look on a LCD hdtv. My PS2 is hooked up via component cables, but the game doesn't officially support 480p...nor have I seen it listed as 16:9. Question: will it look bad on an LCD tv and stretched to 16:9? I'm really interested in the game but if it is going to look bad, perhaps I should skip it. Some games look fine stretched (as in they don't look stretched really at all), while some may look bad. Anyone play it on a PS3?

I really enjoyed Virtua Figther and Virtua Fighter 2 on the Saturn (and Figther's Megamix). I didn't play Virtua Figther 3tb much on Dreamcast, although I have spent some decent time on it recently.

I use to play it on my LCD projection and it looked fine with bars on the side. It's a whole another story when I went from PS2 -> PS3 with all the upconverting.

On the PS3, it's still in 4:3 ratio...right?

EDIT: NVM, OP is playing it on PS2 not 3.

You can choose on the PS3 settings whether you want fullscreen or not

Well, I guess it would be a decent pick up keeping in mind that it should look good.....on a PS3.

I thought it looked decent when I had my PS2 hooked up to my monitor. It isn't a progressive scan game but there are worse looking ones. If you have a PS3 you may as well pick up VF5, though. So much prettier
