Visual Novels Community Thread | A Little Something for Everyone

Man that's like the last thing I was expecting. That series is going to be celebrating its 30th anniversary soon.
I was not expecting it from Sentai of all people so I skipped on that panel

I regret everything

Also, I don't see MG on the schedule anywhere

There's also JAST at 10 PM PST. I'll be attending and hoping for Muramasa.

Most likely not.

More likely: Sumaga and Django coming out before the end of the year (so, sometime next year), plus an announcement for an official localization of Dramatical Murder.

Mangagamer panel is 9 PM on Saturday (PST).

Muramasa coming out be great! I wonder how they would handle the whole vertical text thing since it doesn't look too good with the roman alphabet.

The engine is fully capable of outputting text horizontally. IIRC it's really easy to change.

Thank you, ANN, for confirming that the main freaking characters will be in the remake. I never would have guessed. Still, it's good to hear that this really is happening, though them adding a new character is certainly an interesting choice. Wonder if the rumors about a Satsuki route are true.

Also, the anime was 12 episodes. Which is especially funny considering they have a note at the bottom saying they corrected the episode count.

Never change Payne, never change.

I also know someone who's going to try and give me updates if they have a connection inside; as long as I'm still awake when it starts I'll post whatever news I can.

I wish they'd talk about their new titles, instead of talking about stuff they've already released. :/
The problem is that the audience here is like mostly new and here for the porn. It happens nearly every year.

Well, the way that Hanachirasu was described gives me the feeling that Muramasa will wait another year.

Shiny Days is releasing in 5 to 6 weeks.

Seinarukana is releasing in the Fall.

Flowers from Innocent Gray. (I thought MG had the rights to their games?!)

They're doing all 4.

SoniComi.

Since JAST is doing Flowers, MG is freaking out on Twitter. :p

I think it's generally bad to localize games from companies already partnered with other ones.

So two game announcements. One is something Mangagamer could've produced a better release of in less than half the time, and the other is Sonicomi. Django pushed back at least another six months.

Wow. Fuck JAST.

Okay got the question in so time to get ready for the Aksys blowout tomorrow.

Thank you very much.

I had no clue Shiny Days was being translated. Is that a sudden announcement or was it known before?
And before Summer and Cross Days, even. Anyone know why?

Old announcement, it's been available for pre-order for a while. Dunno about why it over the other titles, as I have no investment in the series.

Shiny Days is the remake of Summer Days. It's been announced (and also fully translated) for a while now. I'm not sure if they'd ever release Cross Days because of how...different, I guess you could say it is.

I would throw hundreds of dollars at the Kickstarter if it meant getting a translated release of the Integral Works book. It has over 300 pages of setting material with descriptions of anti-BETA tactics, TSF design (both "this is how we designed them" and "this is the fictional history of TSF design"), a lot of short stories, histories of various nations in the setting, tons of artwork including a nice two-sided pullout poster with Kou Yoshinari artwork on one side, some interviews, and so forth. Almost none of it has been translated into English and it all looks really interesting.

Well, I'm amazed they went back into those bug-ridden fests at all.
I wonder if School Days generated any kind of buzz when it was finally released. I honestly don't remember much.
