Ratchet and Clank collections right?

Or maybe just the one 'classic' I dunno, still could be maybe

No, Sony gave the Ratchet & Clank HD Collection to Idol Minds as a "Sorry for cancelling Warrior's Lair" present. If Sony wanted to port that collection to Vita I can't imagine anyone other than Idol Minds doing it since they'd be familiar with that code.

For all we know that part of the job description is old and refers to Bluepoint's work on the Team Ico HD Collection and PlayStation All-Stars.

Lol, okay I guess. Still, the wikipedia page says double eleven were founded by rockstar, if they can use that to do a RDR, Bully, GTAIV, max payne... then GTAV:Stories a year or two after that would be something...

Started by former Rockstar employees. Not. Rockstar. Itself.

^ Lol okay, probably not on as good terms then. Any good news dude? :p Not that I don't appreciate the clarification, in all seriousness.

Ah thanks for the info, the second sentence makes a lot of sense too, still a chance it's something I guess.

Could be but they updated all their work details in the paragraph above, that up to PSASBR. I assume this is new

Gaikai and Vita has the potential to be a smash success...

Legacy titles offered Netflix style on the best handheld hardware to date?

How does that not perk ears up? Its gonna run fine, Its only streaming video and some control input data.... Insane if Sony pulls it off..

So I take it you've never used pre-SCE buyout Gaikai service? Check out Onlive then. Both are very dependent on the internet service speeds you get. It's not like a straight video streaming service where the player can buffer ahead. It's all real time or at least that's the goal. To achieve that on lower speed connections that means sacrificing video quality or putting up with lag. I've tried both Gaikai and Onlive. They're serviceable on a wired connection, and almost unbearable on a wireless one.

Given that I doubt Gaikai streaming will be exclusive to PlayStation hardware (I imagine it'll be SCE's hardware agnostic equivalent to Music/Video Unlimited and Crackle) I can't imagine it pushing hardware at all.

I been debating about getting a Vita but really want it to play emulators. Not sure if its ok or not to talk about emulators and stuff. I had a PSP and had CPS1, CPS2, SNES, GBA emulators. Can i easily do custom firmware on VITA or something similar? or did they update it already and cant be "unlock"?

I wouldn't waste your time trying to get such things to work on the Vita (it doesn't work from what I heard). Get a used PSP or the real consoles.

Vita has never been hacked. There's some exploits using the PSP emulator but you're not going to get much more than usage of the second analog stick versus what you have on PSP.

Getting hacked is about the last thing any handheld already having trouble needs. Just get any of the numerous emu handhelds.

I'm glad that the only thing that's been hacked is the PSP emulator, which has its own benefits in that it allows access to PSP titles not available on the PSN Store. I'm looking at you Square Enix.

Sony should anonymously release CFW that only allows certified homebrew (only in the sense that it doesn't allow piracy of vita games).

How many times have we seen developers release a CFW with "only" homebrew support, only for someone else to come out with a loader for pirated games.

ahh damn...surprised no one really hacked it yet
The demand isn't there like it was with the PSP. The PSP was one of the only portable devices of it's time powerful enough to run emulators. Now we have android phones that can run emulators really well without even being rooted. Granted it doesn't have real controls, but I guess most people don't care enough. Or they connect a standalone controller to it.

More like scrap the button UI and release an Android powered OS with full (sandboxed) store access.

^ that too, especially when (hopefully) 64/128GB cards are out. Although it would be handy now too tbh

If Sony were the developers this would be locked really tight [literally gatekeepers, homebrew devs submit their app - to someone who secretly works for sony :P]. They could go as far as to assign keys and lock it to user accounts under the pretense that it's the only way and they are doing it to not get sued.

Although if someone finds out, it would be pretty bad news lol. Probably not worth the risk...to sony :P

'This isn't homebrew, go home Sony you drunk' and queue months of people raging on forums since they bought the device for homebrew alone on a promise they believe Sony made to them personally.

:P

Fuck no, they don't tell people they're the ones behind it.

Can start a whole media thing chasing the CFW dude, even though he didn't allow vita piracy, seeming tough on them. Actually that would probably look embarrassing for them after the hacking stuff.

It shouldn't affect their other PSM devices much. Sony aren't releasing anything on PSP anymore and could do with some Japanese developers switching to Vita. PS1 games are probably covered by PS3 and PS4 users.

How does little king story vita compare to the Wii version?

I played about 2 or 3 hours the last few days and it looks a little better as the Wii version so far, but has the same framerate issues in town and the text is really small. The controls are pretty good and I still dig it.

[post below] that's weird...hmm, if not...maybe he was really expecting a pricedrop at gamescom and thought he was helping you out ;) unlikely so yeah, weird

Bluepoint is doing a port of Flower for the Vita!

Chapter 11 of Ninja Gaiden Sigma really sucks so bad. Even worse because of the damn gyro controls. The comm tower is making me want to rage. And this is after the really stupid tanks and helicopter fights. Ugh

I was enjoying this so much more when they didn't introduce enemies that had guns

So, I bought Soul Sacrifce a good while ago but am just getting into it now. I'm very early in, just killed the
Harpy
. I basically have not got the faintest idea what's going on but it's quite a lot of fun.

Continue playing please :D

You'll see later the definition of frustration. I played and finished on my Xbox back in the days, I was tempted to break everything and punch everybody around me from time to time when i was playing it.

the day they are selling 64 or even 128GB Vita cards I'm dancing naked through my living room of joy and downloading the daylight out that neat little device.

Until you run out of space again.

I think I will only be comfortable at 256gb.

No, don't do this to me, lol
don't crush my optimism!

@Killzone-Beta-Players: Is Killzone Vita a good "Play 15 minutes and thats it"-game? Thats what I love about Soul-Sacrifice, I play 1-2 missions for a short break and then I turn the Vita off again.

So my question is mainly about loading times, time for matchmaking etc. Does it feel "good" for this way of playing. Thanks!

Fighting tanks was tough with gyro arrow aiming. That was worst part for me. Boss was easy though.

I think there's a distinct advantage to being the Helghast in Killzone Mercenary.
Both teams use a glowing color to make an enemy visible from far off (blue for ISA, orange for Helghast), however with the color palettes on these two maps, the blue from the ISA jumps out more than the orange of the Helghast (which seems to blend into things sometimes, as there are other orange-ish glows too). I've consistently seen the Helghast side of the team deathmatch do better and when I was finally just a Helghast soldier, we were winning (again with the pattern) not losing as in my other rounds as an ISA.

The advantage may be dependent upon a given person, but I think it's there. Maybe I should go say something in the beta forums? How can I do that?

Speaking of PSM, I kind of want to support that 10 by 8 game or whatever, but at the same time, I don't like buying PSM games because I don't really play them when I have a PS3/PC/Vita/3DS backlog and seem to gravitate to the games that have achievements/trophies for whatever reason. It's a shame they didn't do a native Vita game for it instead. :\

The only game I've really been playing on my Vita for the last month is DJMax, I'm just waiting for Ys to finally come out, though I do have Virtue's Last Reward on my Vita, so I should probably start that soon

I need to try fighting games on my Vita. After trying out the analog sticks and Dpad on the Vita, nothing comes close to it! I hope the DS4 is as good!

The "Rebel 1" is a Japanese pronounciation I believe. They translate foreign words into their language as katakana (sound syllabi?) This is similar to how they pronounce computer as "konpiuta". This is not a matter of Japanese accent... Don't get me wrong but a matter of how the language treats foreign terms... Listen to Iwata in Nintendo Directs. You'll hear some of this.

Sorry for not replying to twitter last night, was asleep!

Yea I actually hope MvC comes on PS+ sometime. Yep, it's difficult to pronounce certain letters; I'm half-Japanese so I know the difficulties hehe. But I was just curious why they chose English words when it's not really necessary. It's not a make-or-break thing for sure, but it definitely was a negative from my experience.

They do this in Japanese music too; they throw in random English here and there. But again it's not really necessary and more often than not... it doesn't make the song sound any better lol.

corrosivefrost and others hv mentioned that the announcer in the game is actually saying rebel than level. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=74591775&postcount=784

Are you using headphones or the Vita speakers? :lol
I was under the impression the sound was supposed to be pretty good and was part of the reason the full game on Vita is over 3gb (which isn't much more than it is on PS3, I think, the full install of the game isn't that big there, IIRC).

And you're right... you've apparently never played an Arc System Works game before, huh? ;)

Their a bit strange on the design and then to be lumped into the "anime" fighters.
Do I know *WHY* they picked the word "Rebel" to use for round? No. The game centers around some concepts of rebellion, I believe, though, so maybe that's why?

As a contrast, check out GGACXX+r sometime:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=i9Zpp9V9ASo&t=126

"Heaven or Hell? Duel 1 (The First)! Let's ROCK!"

I'm using headphones. The sound isn't as clear compared to other games like Hotline Miami or more recently, Killzone Mercenary. Nor does it feel like there is any emphasis coming from the bass.

Haha how could you guess that I've never played an ASW game before ><. I recognized the Criware logo though! I think I saw it from the P4G.

I actually prefer the the english from Guilty Gear in that YT vid.

HipHop Gamer is talking about the PsVita again:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7o4F1ORtg8

He's telling us right now, this right here is crazy.
As always

I love his enthusiasm, but he is a little overenthusiastic at times.

But I am not gonna lie: online gaming, unrestricted downloads through LTE will tempt me to buy a new vita. The 3G vita is now so severely gimped the 3G system simply makes no sense.

Do you recommend Fifa 13? I think its still $14 on GameStop website.

For that cheap? Why not - is 14 coming to Vita? I've not seen (or looked really)

It's ok - it's FIFA 12 (or FIFA Football on the Vita) with an updated roster. But I love me some Fifa.
