It was announced earlier this year. In Nintendo Power I think.Billychu said:Ikachan was coming to DSi? I never even knew.

But it's a port of an almost two year old (although fantastic) game. It's hardly the same as indies making 3DS games from the ground up.The_Technomancer said:This is actually a good sign for the 3DS. If smaller indie games like this are actually going to the service and not fleeing (like WiiWare) then it could garner some good support

@EdmundMcMillen Edmund McMillen
I dunno if you guys have seen this yet but @nicalis has announced they ported VVVVVV to 3ds! blog.nicalis.com
The extra awesome aspect of this is much like Isaac, VVVVVV was also flash based. Who wants me to start talking to @nicalis about isaac 3ds?
Now that would be cool.HadesGigas said:

VVVVVV was updated to run on C++ and got a bunch of extra content recently, wasn't it?Wallach said:Much like VVVVVV I'd rather see the game be worked on to not be Flash based first.
That would be super awesome.Snuggler said:A little OT, but do you know what would be amazing? Terraria portable. My life would be over.

That's one reason. I've also taken it to symbolically represent the omnipresent spikes.Professor Beef said:Looking at that last screenshot, I now know why the game is called VVVVVV. It's all their names.

ExcellentHadesGigas said:Antipole. It's more actiony than VVVVVV, but yeah it's pretty good.
It's also on Xbox Indies and PC.

Truth101 said:What?
I was wondering the same thing. I wouldn't care either way what it comes to. DSi = I can get it on my XL.Truth101 said:Why is the top screen the same size as the bottom?
Is it coming to the eshop via DSiware or as an actual 3DS game?
Why would you do that? said:I was wondering the same thing. I wouldn't care either way what it comes to. DSi = I can get it on my XL.
Billychu said:And La-Mulana still isn't on Wii Ware :/
lunchwithyuzo said:It has been for months in Japan. Dunno what's taking so long everywhere else?
I feel worse for Japan, they're not getting Cave Story WiiWare/DSiWare at all. Pixel can't even buy his own game. [/boggle]
Well this is unusual..port-begging for a game you already own.Yuripaw said:You guys got the wrong impression about me...I've already played and beaten this game on PC. There is no reason I would ever ever ever want this on 3DS, because I hate handheld gaming. Why play on a tiny screen, when I can play on a big screen? VVVVVV is definitely not a game I'd care to have on the go. Tetris, Lumines...those are games that work good on the go. That can be played for 90 seconds, and dropped.
A Twisty Fluken said:the blog post says it's in 3d. guessing that since it was designed as 4:3 nonscrolling there wasn't really an option to widen the playfield
How would the European release hold up the NA one?jman2050 said:Nigoro's official stance on this right now is "blame Europe".
More specifically, there were some shenanigans involving the rating boards over there that has and presumably is still holding up the release outside of Japan.
Ah yeah, I forgot I read the 3D part.A Twisty Fluken said:the blog post says it's in 3d. guessing that since it was designed as 4:3 nonscrolling there wasn't really an option to widen the playfield
ACHIEVEMENTS!! lol, I like being social and comparing achievements with friends. Most people I know will never know what VVVVVV is because most are not PC gamers, and sure as hell don't own a 3DS. I wanna tell more people to get it and play it. Easier sell on XB360/PS3Jaded Alyx said:Well this is unusual..port-begging for a game you already own.

this brings me on step closer to taking the plunge on a 3DS[/QUOTE]
If anything, this screenshot just tells me that I wish the game was at the very least on DSiware, and not 3ds. The game isn't even 16x9, so the top screen will have those black borders on the sides. Not to mentioned when I've played the 3DS, i found the screens way too small, especially after having a DSi XL.
