Wait, Marc Ecko's Getting Up is on Steam? (Half Off as well)

So Marc Ecko is STILL planning a sequel to this game.

"As we plan the next evolution of our beloved franchise, we are excited to re-release the original Getting Up to a new audience via Steam in partnership with Devolver Digital," said Marc Ecko."Devolver Digital has released every cutting edge game I have played in the last year, and I could not think of a better partner.

I'm trying to find the press release for that.

I would buy this on GOG.

Can someone tweet marc ecko for me? Twitter says my email is invalid when I try to create a account. :(

Available for the first time in Australia

It's still banned there, as far as I can tell (much in the same way Postal 2 is banned in New Zealand, but you can happily buy it via various digital shopfronts) - not sure if owning a digital copy of Getting Up in Australia is illegal though (owning banned games is illegal in NZ.)

Jeff played it today on the GB Unprofessional Friday stream, everyone seemed very fond of it.

I remember being compelled to pick this up many moons ago, but never did. Might give 'er a whirl now, but does it have PC controller support?

Wait, what? I liked Getting Up 1, but WHAT?!?!?

Who is the developer? The Hotline Miami dudes could do it justice, if we're talking about Devolver devs.

Too bad Human Head and Ecko's collaboration never came out. Sounded crazy from vague details I heard.

With Marc and DD working together...well...it could possibly be flying Wild Hog. Would be a nice change of pace after Shadow Warrior.

Yes.

I saw this on Steam for £5.99 yesterday and bought it so fast it made my head spin.

I remember reading about this game in the Official PS2 magazine for about a year before it got released and I was hyped as hell to play it.
I remember it got some mixed reviews, but I got it anyway and I was glad I did.

It wasn't the best game I ever played, but it was one of my favourite PS2 games at the time and I replayed it a lot.
The soundtrack was amazing, the graphics were good and from what I remember, the gameplay was pretty varied.

I can't wait to replay again.
