Whelp, excuse me while I eat some humble pie. $390k with 36 hours to go. Might get that extra episode after all!

It's done 25k a day for both of the last two days. It's gotten an extra 2k in the last hour or so alone. The extra episode is all but guaranteed by now.

Speaking of which, I decided to stop wandering about and just pledged. Those new episodes, 1080p confirmation and the looming deadline pushed me over the edge!

Wonder what the new delivery date will be to allow them to make that new episode...

Amazing. Would've imagined it topped around $350k at the start off.

The $40 deal is a steal though, definitely feels like a get.

I just want to thank everyone here who has pledged resulting in me getting all these extras (season 2, OVAs, mini episodes and likely exclusive original episode). This has to be one of the best KickStarter deals out there.

Yup, crazy good deal.

IT'S HAPPENING!

Looks awesome but Kickstarter wants my credit card now? No more Amazon Payments? Yeesh.

I think this is only because this Kickstarter isn't based in the U.S.?

EDIT: uhoh, someone on /co/ is threatening to pull their Nox pledge

It's 4chan.

Well, someone *did* back out to the tune of a few hundred canada bucks, but then HAPPENINGS happened and we're back over 400k. Hopefully we'll stay there.

EDIT: Aaaand we're back down again. :(
EDIT: Aaand we're over again. THE RIDE NEVER ENDS.

I had never heard of this till today. Just kept seeing the thread and misreading it as Waifu.

Finally looked into it.

FUCK WHY DIDN'T ANYBODY TELL ME THIS WAS AWESOME? Dropped cash on the $40 CAD goal. That's a TON of content for very little money. Holy shit.

Wait, this isn't about waifus?

Funding rescinded.

I never knew they were making a kickstarter for this. Hope the dub comes out good.

Wonder who they would get to voice Nox though?

Gru-galu-lagran vs.
Nox
is still the best fight in the series.

New/final stretch goals are:

415K: "Smug Duck Origins" interactive comics
450K: "Making Of'" of the special episode
500K: Second special episode

Smug Duck here we come!. 450K+ is probably a bit much to expect.

(From KS)
Permit us to draw your attention to the first of the new stretch goals, number 7. This goal unlocks an important portion of Krosmoz history, just for you... the origins of the Smug Duck. This interactive comic will give you a glimpse into the secret life of this enigmatic figure... what other precious secrets is he hiding?

What secrets indeed?

Stretch goal number 8 will give us the budget to produce a mini-feature for the making-of the new special Wakfu episode. We will follow our production team through the entire process, from conception to completion, showing you how Ankama produces the fine animation that you've so generously supported!

And finally... because we believe that miracles can happen (after all, we've seen so many of them happen in this very campaign), we are including one final reward for you, stretch goal number 9 - a second special Wakfu episode! Could yet another dream become a reality? We'll find out in 24 hours...

Screw it, I'm in. The $40 tier works out at just over £20, which is a steal for those rewards. I don't know much about Wakfu, but I like the clips and the pitch so I've decided to pull the trigger and pledge.

This is the second time they've said 2015 instead of 2014. My emotions!

You have a great deal to learn of Kickstarter, sir.

The last few days, and especially the last few hours of a campaign generally have a huge influx of dosh.

Neat (and humorous) to see a shoutout to /co/ and plus4chan, I doubt many people would have gotten into this without their help.

Too bad smug duck will just be teasing. 450K away! Bet we end up at 470-485k.

Went for the bog standard blu ray pledge. Glad the French dub is included. Sounds good and will probably be how I watch the show! Glad I stumbled across this thread :)

I think he's already taking the current trend into account. As of this post, they're $72.8k away from $500k.

Typically, the last two day push of a kickstarter matches the first two days. Seeing as their best day got them $42k on the 21st and today's count is already at $30k, at best they're already cutting it close a day ago when they didn't break $35k.

I'd think it was a tossup between whether they'd make a shoutout to 4chan or zone first.

This is just ridiculous, but hats off to them. I hope they haven't promised TOO much extra, KS creep and all that. But damn, can't pass it up.

@ Nirran: It's a very enjoyable show that is extremely pretty with good action and animation.
Very minor ability spoilers (Short Combat .gif)

Izmar here!

Tumblr and 4chan have been the two biggest sources of named site traffic and backers throughout this campaign. Tumblr was in the lead through most of it, but 4chan pulled ahead in the last week.

At the moment, 4chan has a higher number of backers, but Tumblr has donated a greater percentage of funds. It's a dead heat!

P.S. Embarrassed anon - it's ok. It's a show for children and we don't want the more adult areas of the fandom to overlap with the children (the French fandom is very young), but there doesn't seem to be much danger of that here. And I'm not here to judge. I'm a community manager, I go where the community is! =)
oh man that song is glorious lol
I knew what this was before I clicked on it. So good.

I've somehow never heard of this before, but decided to grab the $40 option. Watched a bunch of clips on YouTube and the show looks really neat.

I wonder why more shows don't use flash like this (or at least it seems like not many do, I could be wrong). The animation here is impressive.

I'd think it's just that this show has a budget behind it.

Regardless, this is the show that turned me around on Flash animation. For years I thought it was inevitably cheap shit like something from Newgrounds, but Wakfu looks impressive by any standards.

I find it incredible that after they reduced the stretch goal for the original episode, we end up meeting the original goal in the final hours. :)

Was on the fence, since I've never watched it, but the amount of content from the $40 pledge, which works out to about $36 US, is just insane. I'm in.
