I played the shit out of both 1942 and Vietnam, if I played those will I feel right at home? Or is it different even from those two games?woober said:Enjoy! The game is quite a bit different than Bad Company. Let us know if you have any questions.
Some tips: Join up in a squad.
Prone when you engage in firefights (most of the time).
Use the command rose (q button to issue orders and request stuff).

kai3345 said:Well fuck. I changed my game resolution to 1366 x 768 and now the game is always minimized. I can hear the sound but no images. if i try to maximize it, it goes to a black screen and then back to my desktop after a few seconds.

I cant find one, unless its called something other than config or BF2configTheSeks said:Edit the config file?
If you played BF1942, you'll probably hate BF2.kai3345 said:I played the shit out of both 1942 and Vietnam, if I played those will I feel right at home? Or is it different even from those two games?

coopolon said:I've never played any Battlefields before BC. Are the single players just a bunch of bots on the multiplayer maps or is it a real campaign ala COD, MoH, etc. I know no one buys Battlefield for the SP, I'm just curious.
woober said:I went back to BF2 lately and there are still quite a lot of people playing. And those that play know the game inside out. Still great fun if you have friends playing with you, or join a squad and get great teamwork going.
One thing to note is that the recoil on the guns is pretty significant over the bad company series and took me a while getting readjusted after not playing BF2 for so long.
Lol, did you check why it's crashing? I've never had problems on all of the modern high end rigs I played it onkai3345 said:Pretty retarted that I can't run a game this old on anything higher than low settings in 800 x 600 on a fucking Alienware all because the stupid game crashes if I run it in anything higher than that.
And even with these low settings the game crashes every time I try to connect to online. what a fucking waste of 20 bucks

Stallion Free said:I think the game has aged pretty terribly. I wish I could time machine back to 2005 when I could overlook the issues and was really blown away by it.

You're out of your fucking mind. Most BF2 fans never played the original, so they have lower standards thanks to not experiencing the greatest MP FPS ever made.
By your standards, people should avoid everything post BFV. Let's be honest, BC2 is not a very good BF game.Avoid BF2 at all costs and hope that DICE finally get their shit together and BF3 turns out alright.
