what? how would someone who hasn't read it understand what i'm talking about?kaching said:Congratulations, you've done more to spoil the story than the trailer did.
Looks awesome. Hollywood's gift for my 25th birthday looks like a winner.
Key character dies? What's hard to understand about that? It's not like you're speaking in tongues just because you say a name someone hasn't heard before.Costanza said:what? how would someone who hasn't read it understand what i'm talking about?
Next month from now or the movie's release?bengraven said:Ha, my 30th birthday is the next month, too.
Childhood's end, isn't it ironic?
beelzebozo said:alan moore doesn't like anything. or anyone, for that matter, so far as i can tell.
Greatness Gone said:I've yet to see the trailer, but does anybody know if this follows David Hayter's script? IIRC, it was exactly like the comic book, only adapted into a shorter package. Moore supposedly liked the script due to this.

Trailer looks cool at least.

My 25th is the Watchmen's release date.
My childhood will never truly end, at least if I have anything to say about it.
I'm thinking that shot of Silk Spectre walking down the stairs may be heras a teenager when she and Dr. M have their first meeting. I'm thinking this because if I saw shit walking towards me I'd like leave my 40-something, complaining wrinkling wife in a heartbeat too!
The trailer has the hyper-cool edginess that seems to sort of miss the point of the comic, but I'm cool with it having its own style so it stands on its own stylistically. So, looking good.

But I got some serious geek chills from that trailer
I think I have an erection too.

Watchmen is a twelve-issue comic book limited series written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Dave Gibbons. Originally published by DC Comics as a monthly limited series from 1986 to 1987, it was later republished as a trade paperback,[1] which popularized the "graphic novel" format. To date, Watchmen remains the only graphic novel to win a Hugo Award,[2] and is also the only graphic novel to appear on Time Magazine's 2005 list of "the 100 best English-language novels from 1923 to the present."[3]
Watchmen is set in 1985, in an alternative history United States where costumed adventurers are real and the country is edging closer to a nuclear war with the Soviet Union (the Doomsday Clock is at five minutes to midnight). It tells the story of a group of past and present superheroes and the events surrounding the mysterious murder of one of their own. Watchmen depicts superheroes as real people who must confront ethical and personal issues, who struggle with neuroses and failings, and who - with one notable exception - lack anything recognizable as super powers. Watchmen's deconstruction of the conventional superhero archetype, combined with its innovative adaptation of cinematic techniques and heavy use of symbolism, multi-layered dialogue, and metafiction, has influenced both comics and film.

But why did they play the Smashing Pumpkins song from Batman Forever?
ezekial45 said:They used a different version of the song. It sounds better than the one in Batman and Robin.
