The biggest projects he has directed so far is 300 and the new Dawn of the Dead. I'm just so sick of people complaining about him when it isn't like he has some long history of making terrible movies, like say Uwe Boll. 300 was brainless, but it's not the worse movie on the planet. Snyder stuck close to the spirit of the source matieral, and added a brief side story to pad out the script. So what exactly did he do wrong?

Pretty easy for native German speakers. Simply drop the c in sch, the tricky part is the last ch. The easiest way to pronounce it in english would probably be Rorshuck.

That sounds close enough.

EDIT:

The name comes from Hermann Rorschach so just go the safe route and at least try to pronounce it in way that sounds remotely German.

Oh duh.. that makes perfect sense now, with the mask and all. I never knew what the name for those tests were.. I always just called them ink-blot

Kevin Smith gave a retarded glowing review of Revenge of the Sith before it came out. His opinion is worthless. Look at this shit.
"Revenge of the Sith" is, quite simply, fucking awesome. This is the "Star Wars" prequel the haters have been bitching for since "Menace" came out, and if they don't cop to that when they finally see it, they're lying. As dark as "Empire" was, this movie goes a thousand times darker - from the triggering of Order 66 (which has all the Shock Troopers turning on the Jedi Knights they've been fighting beside throughout the Clone Wars and gunning them down), to the jaw-dropping Anakin/Obi Wan fight on Mustafar (where - after cutting his legs and arm off, Ben leaves Skywalker burning alive on the shores of a lava river, with Anakin spitting venomous sentiments at his departing mentor), this flick is so satisfyingly tragic, you'll think you're watching "Othello" or "Hamlet".

I have to say, with the make-up and wig, Jackie Earle Haley looks EXACTLY like Kovacs; perfect fucking casting, right there.

Fuck the haters, I'm really, REALLY fucking excited for this. Most anticipated movie of 2009 for me, personally.
 
Yeah, that was actually kind of cool when it was revealed in the story. And afterwards when you reread it, you notice how it couldn't have been more obvious.

wow you guys must suck at keeping secrets, that was an awesome part in the book specially when you read it the second time, why don't we try to let the people who hasn't read the book enjoy it in the movie.

I got the impression, from the comic, that Kovacs wasn't particularly big, just insanely intense. I think he's one of those types who has visible muscles not because he's ripped, but because he has about 3% body fat. The guy they got to play him is a skinny little bastard, though.

I finished the comic for the first time this weekend. It was awesome!

I am pumped about this movie but with some trepidation, as I have with most comic book adaptations.
 
Damn, on a recent SMOD kevin said he was gonna suck Zack's dick for a sneak peak...

I didn't think he'd actually do it.

I read Watchmen again.

Man it rocks..... every frame is like its own easter egg. Its my third reading and I'm still seeing spoilers jump out from the background of the frame.

Still don't know how they are going to fit the story into 145 minutes of film. I hope they get as much in, but I hope they don't water it down to fit. I also hope they don't cut the scene where
during the prison riot Big Figure and his cronies are trying to get to Rorchach, only to have one of them have his fingers broken/throat cut and the other electrocuted. Its brutal, but you really get a handle for just how calculating Rorschach really is. He doesn't flinch or hesitate, its like he has read a walkthrough or something.

So, finally I understand what Watchmen is about, after reading up about the subject ALOT. Anyway, I have to say that the first time I saw the trailer I thought that the characters, except for the Comedian and Rorshach, looked so corny. But now I know what Watchmen is about, and the whole premise looks awesome to me. I also ordered the graphic novel. Can't wait for it to arrive. I want to know the backgrounds of these people, and want to know what they are like. Anyway, I've read through this whole thread, and I saw that it has been said multiple times that the novel doesn't contain much action. Now, that's all fine by me, but how come there's little action in a book about superheroes? Don't you get to see them fight crime occassionally in the novel and stuff like that?

The novel is more about the psychology of the characters and their motives. There are fights but only a few of them are your traditional superhero vs. supervillian fights. Most of the fights are between the superheroes and these thuggish characters but it's still entertaining to see the heroes overcome the odds or be resourceful. Moore also does an excellent job exploring the characters juxtaposing the fights with a calmer moment or something else.
