This is my first post ever (after reading GAF for two years) and I have to say.... at least Zach and co look to be about 90% on target with this adaptation. Most book movies don't get near the 50% range.
I love the graphic novel and nothing, nothing, can ruin how perfect it is to me. That said, I am stoked to see a movie version that is as close as this one seems to be.
The original ending will never change in the novel. Isn't that good enough for you crazy people?

I just finished reading The Watchmen. Talk about overrated.
The only remotely interesting pages are the ones where the blue guy talks about determinism, but he never goes in this very far.

The worst part about this movie coming out soon is the inevitable increase in people talking about the movie + my irrational hatred for all the people that call it THE Watchmen when there isn't actually a "The" in the title. Aside from it just technically being wrong, I feel like it changes the meaning of the title; "The Watchmen" implies a specific group, while "Watchmen" is a more general, broad reaching term.

The best part was when that jet came out the water, and it was all like "KERSPLASHHHH SHHHHHHSSSSSS" and then they saw this building on fire and the flames were like "CRRRAWWW CRRRAWWW FZZZZHHH!" and then they had to go to this other place and the siren came on which was super loud and it was like "WAAAAAHHH WAHHHHHH" and all the people on the ground were like "lame" and they covered their ears and went home.
I'd give it 3 stars, some of the comic made no sense as the blue man was like totally turning pink during this one part and asteroids were falling into the future but then it was the past. my head hurted.

Ok. The Motion Comic is AMAZING.
I liked the book enough, but it was kinda hard for me to really understand since I've never read comics. But damn, This is so fucking awesome. The animation is incredible too! I never even knew they could do something like this with the comics.

My favorite The Watchman is Leather Daddy. When he's shooting that flamethrower and smoking a cigar he looks SOOOO badass.
