How so? I dont read comics or follow this stuff very closely, but even still Ive managed to see many instances of Moore crying about all of the adaptations of his stuff.

not really sure why people feel the need to shit all over alan moore just because of his distaste for movie adaptations (most of it warranted when you look at what they've done to his work).

Many are able to separate the artist from the art. There are lots of artists who I think are douchebags but I still enjoy their work a lot, Alan Moore being one of them.

Moore has been dicked over plenty of times by Hollywood and DC. Of course he's going to sound like an ass if interviewers keep asking him the same questions regarding adapting his work.

I haven't read V for Vendetta, but from most people I've heard the movie missed the entire point of the comic. The movie apparently downplayed anarchy as "freedom for all" or something righteous.

In any case, the movie is well made and has solid performances from Hugo Weaving and the supporting cast.

As Moore put it (which I wholeheartedly agree with), the comic's political message was about fascism and anarchy, and the Wachowskis just hijacked Moore's story and used it to make their own half-assed political statement about American liberalism and neoconservatism.

Even worse than that though, imo, was how the movie actually humanizes V. If there was ever an example of the movie completely missing the point of the comic, that would be it.

I think it's kind of appropriate. The man can paint a pretty picture on screen. If you think he's shallow as a storyteller, that's another thing.
