Ignorance is an American hallmark.
Not if you look at this thread for example.
Ignorance is an American hallmark.
All "American" food is modified European food, mostly germanic.
I hope my British friends will be pleased to know I have ordered an electric kettle off Amazon to see what all the fuss is about and to conduct my blind Tea Taste Test.
Here's the one I ordered:

I'm not ordering a Hot Water Bottle though, so you can forget about that.

Well, the last 2 pages is either trolling or some startling lack of knowledge from the Americans.
I have been to the US several times, NYC, Seattle, San Diego, Chicago... I wonder how many Americans in this thread have been to the UK, and how many of the ones that have left London...
Is it true that most British foods are bland compared to American foods?

Don't just use it for tea, but for any cooking process which requires hot water.
Pasta?
Just boil up the water in the kettle and pour it into a pot for instant hot water - no waiting for the water in the pot to boil up!
Need to dissolve something for the purpose of baking?
Same thing.
By any chance, when you were here, did you take in one of our movies where the patrons swing from the chandeliers and have a dance party during the screening?
Did you try the biscuits?
No.

Is it true that the British are afraid of anything foreign more than Americans?
lol british food for the most part is crap sorry if it offends.
Thats the funniest thing about some of the americans in this thread trying to troll, they don't actually know enough about other countries to do it effectively. Endearing almost.
Ha.Stupidity at it's finest.
The single worst Americanism is.... "I could care less". The weirdest thing about it is that it appears *SO* embedded within American society that it appears in music and multi million dollar films.
Do people just say words without understanding what they're saying? Stupidity at it's finest.

It's a hallmark of American irony.
It's actually the best Americanism just judging by how enraged it makes foreigners.
I know people who say it that way simply because they know it doesn't make sense, and it's glorious.
I'd say a lot of the Brits in this thread have proven they don't know shit about the American customs or behaviors that they're trying to lambast as well. Stupidity transcends national borders.

You're taking it too seriously, man. And those planes you jumped the puddle with? They go both ways! People have pierced the veil of mystery that is the English motherland.

They only eat Maple Leaves.
So you took Indian food, and modified it a bit, and now it's British food. Gotcha.
Hiyoooooooooo
Did you just Hiyooooooooooo yourself? How sad.
Our national dish is a curry, so I guess not.Is it true that the British are afraid of anything foreign more than Americans?

They fucked with my gf's cooking by default, you are lucky I don't retake Boston with a broken Newcastle Brown bottle and a snooker ball in a sock.
What was that thread that said the USA was the greatest country in the world? That entire thread was gold.
People do this lol?
American here btw.
Ah-I intended to Hiyoooo Avixph. Fixed it for you-don't want to offend you further.
He probably clapped after posting it as well.
I've had this one for a couple years: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002QXOF7I/?tag=neogaf0e-20Here's the one I ordered:
Yes, and most likely these people cannot cook (my opinion), like my mother, sister and brothers.
I leave some pot or a kettle on the gas range (when it is off) for water boiling, but I like tea and french pressed coffee.
I shudder at the thought of softening butter in a microwave, just prepare and leave that butter out the night before.
Literally, the only thing my over the gas range microwave is used for these days is to provide light on the gas range, provide heat exhaust for the gas range, reheating of refrigerated left-overs and a clock.
thread shows otherwise

Lol, get out of here dude. American food being generic? Yeah tell that to all the different regional styles of cooking we have here in the states.No.

The British, mocking American food?
