probably the americans stupidest pronunciation next to words that end in 'ham'. one time an american friend of mine said 'tottenham' over skype and it was the funniest thing I've ever heard.
I'll take that over the hideous thing you got.
Also we have better box arts, so there.

that takes far too long and doesn't sound nearly as cool
S-N-E-S, as in pronouncing each letter.
You'd never do that though because no one would understand that you were trying to talk about the Super Nintendo.
Jag-wahr? Like how the most of the western world pronounces it?
people said 'snez' here and peeope always knew what they were talking about
Another thing about your country I find incredibly bizarre and a little scary is the amount of time and money poured into high-school football and the pedestal talented players are put on. Especially considering the state of literacy and test scores in some of those states where football is god.
I've been to a recorded-music musician concert. Its accepted that you applause the artist, even if he isn't there. We don't clap on theaters either in Spain (where I'm from) nor Japan (where I live). Clapping in the theater just seems... meaningless. If it's at the end of the movie, that is. I assume nobody ever claps mid-movie, of course.
Clapping at the end of the movie would only make sense if the actors or directors or other staff is also attending and it's some sort of event or something.
It's only for sounding out in your head when reading a gaming mag. When actually speaking you use the correct pronunciation of "Super Nintendo." ;-)
How does UK pronounce PS3, GBA or GCN? Hmm?
Jag-wahr? Like how the most of the western world pronounces it?
