I went to Fry's in Houston today, I-45 north location, and they had plenty of copies of everything except GTA:SA. No copies of the X-Box version and 1 copy of the PS2 version. I am going to get a paper and take it to Circuit City tonight to see if they will price match.

Is that the space-themed one or the oil-themed one? I typically go to the later.

I wish they had deals on something I really wanted. I'll only be by FRYS Houston south for a couple more days before I go back to school.

Only loosely related, but my brother needed a cheap system (emphasis on cheap) to surf the Internet, use Office, and just generally porn it up. I bought one of the pre-built basic ATX boxes running Linspire that Fry's sells for about $180, put $40 of ram into it, loaded it with XP pro, and basically had a Sempron 2400 system with 640MBs of RAM, a 40GB (meh) hard drive, ECS board, etc that runs XP perfectly stable and with good performance for under $300. If I felt like fishing around for individual parts, I may have been able to save a few bucks, but then have to deal with the hassle of putting a system together. I just find it amazing how far technology and pricing has changed and wished to further confess my undying love for Fry's.

Interesting you say that. I was looking around the store and saw a sign saying, "Fry's PCs". I was wondering what that was all about. Seems like it was a good deal. Wonder if they have laptops like that as well. I need to go back and check that out.
