I know...
My guess is he's either taking his time making some tunes (checked his website recently, he has been making new mini sample tracks) or he doesn't have enough funds.
He deserves more money than he actually gets in my opinion..

Listening to several songs on Youtube, thinking if I should buy it. Sounds good for now. Mansfield and Cyclops is incredible. Excellent Psychedelic Folk.

After the Ecophony Rinne and Gaia mentions, in the other thread, i think i like your musical tastes (when it comes to these instrumental things, at least) a lot, anything else you can recommend?
Anyway, lately i've been bouncing from stuff like:
Swans - The Sound, to Gontiti - Himitsu.
Bit of a schizophrenic moments, i guess.
Also lately i've been listening again to Hrsta's Ghosts will come and kiss our eyes.

For something close to that Haxan Cloak album, Shackleton's Music for the Quiet Hour and The Drawbar Organ EPs from earlier this year are staggeringly great and showcases how traditional electronic can be woven into the experimental and ambient genres in the hands of a master. Review + track-by-track samples.
Some of Ben Frost's work falls into this area, as well. His albums tend to toe an unusual line between absolute beauty and a searing, almost primal violence: "Hibakusja," "And I Watched You Breathe," "Invisibles," "The Carpathians"
Marsen Jules has a fair number of albums, but none hit me as hard as Herbstlaub, which I really think is one of the most outstanding things to come out in at least the last two decades: "Fanes d'autumn," "Tous les coeurs de cette," "Aurore"
Another that significantly impacted me is Danny Saul's Harsh/Final and it'd probably appeal to you, too, although it's somewhat different than the rest of these -- has the most in common with Ben Frost, but just as much with David Sylvian or Peter Broderick. Sparse, spindly instrumentation that seems to orbit around itself, multiplying, shifting, and disintegrating all at once while Saul's vocals drift in unexpectedly throughout: "Your Death," "Clockwork"
That Mungolian Jet Set track isn't the best overall representation of their sound, to be honest, but since you were into it, then Steve Reich's Music for 18 Musicians is an obvious direction to try out. This Grand Valley State performance is probably my favorite. For something closer to Mungo's usual output, "Creepy" has to be the high point for me.
There are tons of others I want to talk about, but this is a solid jumping off point.

I fucking love Purity Ring and Porter Robinson. Birdy Nam Nam's Jaded Future EP is also rad. I'm seeing Purity Ring next month! Can't wait!
Passion Pit, of course, is great. Although I like the first half of the album way more than the second half. Passion Pit was fucking AWESOME live. I had never seen them before, and they were just incredible.
Marina & the Diamonds' Electra Heart is probably one of my top 5 albums of the year. She is an amazing performer. I've seen her twice in the past month. Once on her own, and then once when she opened for Coldplay.
SBTRKT is fantastic and I hope they come out with something new, soon! They were awesome at Lolla despite technical issues with the stage they were playing on.
Neon Indian is rad and they were great live at Lollapalooza even though their set was cut short due to weather.
Radiohead is Radiohead (awesome), and Linkin Park is Linkin Park (also pretty awesome). I still don't get all the hate for The King Of Limbs. I think it's an awesome album. Lotus Flower is probably my favorite Radiohead song of all time aside from Staircase and 15 Step (and Idioteque).
Other stuff I've been jamming to:
Above & Beyond's Group Therapy. Just over a year old, still in my top 10 albums of all time. Fucking fantastic from start to finish.
Florence + the Machine - Ceremonials. Not even a year old yet, but still fucking awesome! Saw her at Lollapalooza as well, and as usual, she was just amazing. She has such a great stage presence, and an amazing voice.

I've never listened to Stereolab before. Is Margerine Eclipse a good place to start?
I'd say Emperor Tomato Ketchup is the best starting point. After that, it sort of depends on what you like. Their music from ETK forward has more of a pop influence, while their earlier stuff has more of a krautrock/drone rock feel. Transient Random-Noise Bursts With Announcements is my favorite album pre-ETK, and Margerine Eclipse is my favorite post-ETK, though really they're all good.
Thanks, I've been meaning to listen to her solo albums. I also need to check out Monade and McCarthy.

I think I'll buy the Emperor Album. When I heard "Metronomic Underground", the first track, on a radio station, I was completely euphoric. It's like just the song I absolutely needed.
Their earlier albums have more songs like this ?
There is also another mix of that song that is called "Metratomic Underground",which I also like. But I only found it on Youtube. Nowhere else. It's strange.
I'm so obsessed with this record right now. I love that "chug-a-lug-a chug-a-lug-a" driving beat he does differently in the first few songs.

I'm on another Neutral Milk Hotel kick.
None of their other albums sound quite like Emperor Tomato Ketchup. It incorporated some hip-hop influences that are especially noticeable in Metronomic Underground that weren't present in previous albums. I guess the closest album to Emperor Tomato Ketchup would be Mars Audiac Quintet, which has some great songs like Ping Pong and Wow and Flutter.
I stumbled across this a couple of weeks ago and I'm not sure where it's from either. I like it though.

Thanks to Steamlord, I've been listening to Stereolab! I went to my local record store to pick up Emperor Tomato Ketchup, but it was unfortunately sold out. I got lucky though, and the guy I asked for help told me that Stereolab is one of his favorite bands ever, so he recommended this to me. It's a collection of Studio 1 sessions they did for BBC over the years. It's a nice collection with a little bit of everything. I've also been listening to Emperor Tomato Ketchup on Spotify, but having to hear an ad every other song really pulls you out of the experience. I guess I'll need to order it from Amazon. I just listened to the album over Youtube. Some songs are really great (Metronomic, Spark Plug, Percolator), some are not really the kind I like (Tomorrow is already here, Motoroller Scalatron). Guess it's still worth buying. The songs you mentioned here are also excellent.
I'm kinda overwhelmed by the discography from Stereolab, I wonder which album I will like the most.
