What are your favorite video game Dragons?

Deathwing_the_Destroyer_by_HaxOrran.jpg

The proudest fucking dragon in video game.

This! This was one of my favorite dragon designs growing up! I begged my mother to make me a Halloween costume of this.

Sadly it looked nothing like it did in the game.

Bahamut Lagoon had some nice designs too.

The Black Dragon of Dungeon in Heroes of Might & Magic III. Can't post picture since I'm at work and don't want to get soiled underwear.

Diablos, though he wasn't really a dragon, more of a winged demon.

Also, the dragons from Ninja Gaiden series were wicked.

Oh yes. That's The Shatterer in Guild Wars 2, get to fight him around level 50. Though, he's a baby compared to the Elder Dragons:

Zhaitan will be the biggest dragon in at launch of GW2 and is likely the largest dragon ever made in gaming until...

Kralkatorrik.jpg

Kralkatorrik, this Elder Dragon is a thousand feet tall with a wingspan large enough to block out the sun. When the Crystal Desert is put into GW2 post launch this beast will be in game.

Jormag

The last Elder Dragon being a currently unnamed deep sea dragon.

If there's one thing you can say about Sega, it's that they know how to make good looking dragons. The PSO dragon is a great first boss and all the dragons of the Panzer Dragoon series are awesome too.

Name a Dragon Type Pokémon (Except Druddigon or Kyurem). Hell, through in those dragon-esque pokes Charizard and Gyarados. they're all cool.

I have absolutely no idea why this dragon came to mind first, considering it's a game I've never even played. Final boss in The Immortal (NES, and some computer platforms, I think):

My personal favorites are probably the WoW dragons. Great personalities, some of them. Loved Vaelastrasz. It's too bad so many just sit there in battle and you don't get to really take in their awesome...dragon qualities. Save Onyxia, who actually flies around and behaves like a traditional fantasy dragon. I can't really speak for dragon battles in Cataclysm.

The one someone posted of a Guild Wars 2 dragon (The Shatterer?) was a damned cool design. Loved it.

Not that i've played the game but because there is a The Record of Lodoss War game I gotta go with my man Shooting Star. Best Dragon ever.

Daaaayum! Those look amazing. Viva la Dragons.

As for my favorite video game dragons:

Bahamut: FFIV FFIV has some great boss fight mechanics that have stuck with the forthcoming titles of the series. The Bahamut countdown is one of my favorite ones. In FFIV, Bahamut's dungeon, "Lair of The Father" is an end-game dungeon and upon testing your might against Bahamut, you may summon him with Rydia. I always thought it was really epic to go deep inside of some unknown, dangerous dungeon and find treasure (Genji Armor set) and an optional boss.

White Dragon & Nall: Lunar The White Dragons in the Lunar series look really original to me - as pups they look like flying cats and as adults they are shaggy and feathered (sort of like Falcor from The Never Ending Story). These White Dragons are also capable of creating large, flawless Diamonds. Minor spoiler:
The diamonds are made from their poop. No lie.
can't believe it took that long for someone to get it right. Dragon ducks for life!

i've always been kind of partial to the dragons from panzer dragoon. i think the lair ones were pretty cool too.

I totally nominate the Guild Wars 2 dragons.

Especially the Shatterer, when I saw him enter the scene for the first time I was like "Shiiiiiiiiit." and then they told people that the Shatterer compared to the Elder Dragons (the real villains in the game) are like comparing a mouse to a lion in size and I went "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU~".

The clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUVLclPDCBE
Thats a fucking mid-level public boss event, that stuff is usually reserved for raids and endgame content, I dont dare think what they are gonna do at the higher levels.

Orochi in Okami was awesome, japanese style.

Holy shit, this is the first time I've ever seen or heard of The Shatterer from Guild Wars 2. Looks mad as shit.

Seeing a ton of Monster Hunter love in here. This one is actually my favorite, though I'm sure most hate it.

Diablos - broke one of her horns already.

Well, this thread confirmed one thing for me, for sure...

I need to play Guild Wars 2. I kinda dabbled in GW1, but never really got into it.

But I must fight those dragons.

I assume it's still free from monthly fees?

Hooktail from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. I mainly like it for the sheer size of it and it's weakness to crickets. The design as well was wonderful, and looked really intimidating for the an early boss.
