yeah, disproportionately criminalizing black people for the same crimes that whites commit even more of like drug use will create more black criminals so it's hard to take "there are more black criminals, therefore we target blacks more" as a honest excuse of systematic racism.
The american criminal justice system targeted black people more since inception, even more so since the 1970s and the "war on drugs"
you ever think, if the "justice system" would be fair, black americans would probably just be happy living our lives? but that wouldn't feed into your "victimhood" narrative
I never said it is fair or that it should be like it. I said these cases if rightfully or not go into these statistics. And then I explained what statitics and media can do to your mind and prejudices regarding people. I even said its shitty that I also think like that sometimes.
Police brutality regarding black people is a serious issue and needs to be addressed. And for that I also mentioned the statistic part as one of the reason. Just saying its systematic racism is pretty lazy in my opinion since there is never only one reason for complicated issues like this.
And again I never said that I compare these cases and issues as a victimhood mentality. IF you want one regarding BLM or black people I would argue with the Toronto Parade incident you may or may not heard of.
