From back in the NES days to the present, which console ha had the best most diverse lineup of games? My choice...................ps1, not only did it have great 2d titles, but 3d as well. Yes, handhelds count...
The one with all of the RPGs.

We can do better than this. :/
Can we? With a thread concept as completely subjective as this? It depends not only on genre favorites but also no doubt company leanings will also factor in. Nobody will objectively compare the actual game libraries of any systems, they'll just go by how it "feels" to them based on their memories and tastes.
It'll always be the PS2, just because it has two of the biggest and better libraries of gaming history.
PS3 came close but dropped BC halfway through.
That one. You can even play emulated games from almost every console on a PC, so technically it encompasses almost every console.

I literally thought about it while reading the thread but I'm certain PS2 is right there with it.LOL it seems that gaf is frequented only by >20 years old people otherwise I can't believe that no one has said "SNES"
Well, I mean, I think we can avoid really base level topics like this, I think if we're going to have them the OP could put more than 15 seconds into them, and if the OP doesn't, people could still spend more than 15 seconds responding. Anything is better than a bunch of faceless people using one word answers against each other and probably not even reading the other replies to the thread.
Also backwards compatibility is cheating.
