What game are you best at?

Competitively I have never been able to break the above average barrier I'd whoop on the avg player but put me up against a great player and I would be destroyed pretty much all the time.

That being said my best was probably Return to castle Wolfenstein on Xbox. I definitely didn't have the best shot but my team work and support skills made me a great Lieutenant. Always made sure the objective was complete. Played that game for over a year. Who knows how long in hours.

Smash Bros in general
Mario Kart in general
Quake 3
Team Fortress 2

Won tournaments on those

If we are talking competitive

then there's Super Meat Boy, Tetris..

Every time I think I'm pretty good at a game, it just takes a quick trip to YouTube to disabuse me of that notion. I thought I was okay at Shadow of the Colossus, until I saw the speedruns. I'm happy when I can get a geyser to flip over colossus #9 within 5 or 10 minutes, and then I see a video of a guy basically riding Agro like a surfboard and jumping onto the shell of the colossus within 15 seconds.

I don't know that I've ever played a single game enough to be truly great at it, but my best is likely Valkyria Chronicles, just because I've spent more time actively trying to improve my skills than I have with any other game.

At some games, I'm good with individual aspects, but bad, overall. In Bad Company 2, I'm great at spot assists and dropping ammo, yet I'm pretty much terrible at every other facet of the game.

I am a beast at FF4. Playing on the console I can beat the game in just over ten hours, and know most of the dungeons so well that I can very nearly play them with my eyes closed.

I am also great at FFVI, But that's nothing to brag about considering the game is ridiculously easy.

FF4 isn't easy?

SSX Tricky, and especially SSX 3. I was #1 overall on the online leaderboards for about half a year and top 5 for about 2.5 years besides that. I played that for 6-8 hours a day for a couple summers, if it had tracked playtime like Steam does I would probably have been over 3000+ hours.

I can vouch for this guy, know him in real life. There were a couple summers he played an average of 8 hours a day. I never came close to beating him...duh. He never let me play lol I'd go watch him for a couple hours then go do something else and come back to his house - he'd still be playing.

As for my games I'm good at...Pokemon and basically any shooter on the PC and to a lesser extent the PS3. Especially Left 4 Dead, I destroyed mfers on that. Otherwise I stick to basketball hahaha I need literally two inches to dunk on a 10 foot rim ;)

I am also fairly good at Street Fighter II. Not turbo, alpha, or super though. I used to play the arcade game at a bar everytime I went for two years and was never defeated. Got to the point where people would bet drinks.

Hmm, this is a tough question for me. I suck at most games, let me tell you being a gamer and being bad at games at the same time is painful.

I'd have to say Smash Bros. or perhaps SRPGs.

I was awesome at the Half-Life 1 mod Firearms, before it got too CS like. A lot of people will no longer play worms with me! and I had one helluva raiding shadow priest pre-BC expansion in WoW.

Lately? Vanquish. I have a lot of scores in the top 10 for Hard mode. I plan on doing the same for God Hard.

I'm also really good at Ninja Gaiden 1/Black (I haven't bothered with the inferior Sigma versions or the god-awful sequel on a competitive scale.), God Hand, and Bayonetta.

I'm crazy good at WarioWare: Smooth Moves. Whenever I try to get others to join in, they very quickly give up (because the game has a learning curve) and it just turns into me showing off for 5 minutes until we decide to switch to a different game. Then it's to Wii Sports Tennis where I dominate again. That is, unless my brother gets involved; he proves to be my strongest competition on that front.

I'm pretty good at TF2, well rounded with all classes. My best is probably playing a Fists of Steel Heavy.

DKC series. Any time I play with people, they're pretty frustrated at how quickly I can get through things and find all of the secrets. I've put way too many hours into those games. Beaten them a LOT.

Megaman X is my other series that I'm good at. I can get through the first game in about an hour or two with everything including the not-so-secret-anymore super secret. The one thing I'm never any good at is the final boss. By the time I get there I usually decide it isn't really worth it because there aren't good stories in X games.

Counter Strike & Socom series. In Socom 2 i was top 1000 on leaderboards. Counter Strike i normally would get 10 + kills per 2 deaths give or take. My gaming prime time (High School)..I miss those days :(

Wipeout 2097/XL - From what I can gather, I'm world no 2 for Vostok Island

Geometry Wars 2 - Just shy of the top 100 for Pacifism

Battletoads - Can clock it without losing a single life

Decent at Super Stardust HD, although I know a few GAFers who could easily embarrass me. I think my highscore was somewhere near 300 million points.

Pokemon Gen 1, however, was my game. I was unstoppable. Easily the best out of all my friends and classmates. I loved it so much, I even competed in a Pokemon trading card game league XD

Probably Call of Duty.

There are very few matches that I don't finish at least top 3.

I was pretty damn good at Halo 2, but my abilities didn't quite stick for 3 and Reach. :(
