What game are you currently playing?

Recently finished P3R Episode Aigis. The combat definitely dragged, I ended up skipping all the regular enemies and turning down the difficulty to easy so I could just enjoy the story, which ties up everything nicely. Probably could have just watched it, but I still enjoyed more time with the characters (esp best boi Koro-chan).

Also finished Black Mesa. Lots of great improvements over HL1 (especially On A Rail), but weaker in some ways too. Xen went on a bit long but it was still a better overall experience.

this game aged really well

Pragmata: It's a bit of a mixed bag. The gameplay is polished and the first few hours are solid, but it ultimately feels like your run-of-the-mill singleplayer title. It's fun but just not necessarily special.

Crimson Desert: Absolutely incredible.

Shapez 2 released into version 1.0 today with an overhaul and a lot of new content. It's a cozy but challenging factory game and I love the heck out of it, so I'll be addicted to this for quite some time now. 😎

Just finished Dying Light. (Took around 26 hours.)
In need of something casual or a bit more linear now. Time to explore the backlog.
Tempted for PRAGMATA, FFXVI, Windrose or Ghost of Tsushima .

I'm 4 to 5 hours into Beyond Good And Evil HD Remaster (Switch)

I'm at the part where I'm in the the factory and I have to rescue Jade Uncle

I love the game so far, the OST is really good and one of my favorites is this song

The remaster really makes the visuals look even better. I love the look of the world and cast

The gameplay is still a lot of fun but I'm not a fan of Slealth Sections in games. I'm hoping to finish this game

9 hours into Beyond Good And Evil HD Remaster

I got past the Factory dungeon. Still haven't saved Uncle Peyd. It was pain getting 15 Pearls so that I could get the Jump KIt for my boat that lets me jump over the red lasers blocking the Slaughterhouse Races. It was a pain also just trying to jump over the lasers blocking the entrance to the Slaughterhouse since you have to go to races to access the secret entrance and all these cars will block you if you take too long.

I'm still loving the game despite my issues

I really like how well the graphics aged and remastering the graphics just made the game look really good. It really is a testament to the artstyle being good instead of just focusing on graphics

I suck at the racing minigames, tried a couple and lost. Not a fan of racing games in general, I suck at them

I'm looking to finish the game by next week

Just finished A Link to the Past for the first time and what a adventure that was. A near perfect game with endless charm that don't hold the player's hand and can be quite challeging at times

Still unsure what to play next, maybe Kid Icarus Uprising or Sly Cooper

I've decided to return to Arkane's Prey after finishing it only once when it originally released. Having a blast so far and the XSX 'boosted' version is way superior to playing PS4 version on PS5 (tried it not long ago and dropped it). You get 60fps, sharper textures and the huge lag also seems to be gone.

Finished the original Resident Evil 2 with the usual Mulderland's Enhancement Pack, which has everything you need.

The jump in fidelity from RE1 is quite noticeable, the backgrounds are way better and in general it looks nicer. The AI upscaled backgrounds are good, but you can see it struggles with some things, so it's not perfect. Still, I prefer this to playing with blurry backgrounds, in general they look nice but some backgrounds would need a manual art pass in some cases.

As for the game, it's fantastic. I went Leon A / Clair B. Compared to the remake the two routes are much better, it was actually enjoyable playing Clair B. The game is all killer no filler, it's as good as RE1 for sure, and it feels much more polished. I can't believe we were getting these bangers after 1-2 years of dev time, the design of these games is immaculate.

It's hilarious that tank controls feel snappier and more accurate to control than the wobbly, animation-prioritized and laggy movement of the remakes. The difference is massive.

Now I'm excited to play Resident Evil 3, I played the remake but not the original.

Still unsure what to play next, maybe Kid Icarus Uprising or Sly Cooper
Kid Icarus Uprsing is one of the best games on the 3DS by far, a must play imho.

iam just started replaying playing yakuza 0 director's cut in English. Probably a unpopular opinion i have to say the dubb is pretty good.
That game should have totally nailed the 80s vibe seeing as it is set in 1988, but you barely believe you are actually in that era....could have been a Japanese version of Vice City

After Pragmata, wanted to get into something liter and have been playing this game called Eternights.

This is basically if a student made a cross between SMT and Persona. It borrows so much from Persona style calendar schedules, confidants etc.

One of the best/worst thing is that you get to name the main train that you travel around in .. which can lead to some hilarious moments like .....

Other than that, this game is pretty overtly horny and an isekai in game-form.

14 hours into Beyond Good And Evil

I think I'm near the end

I got through the Slaughterhouse which was a fun but sometimes annoying segment.

I was grinding for money so that I could upgrade my ship health, etc

I was able to get the airship and the part that I had to get for the airship to work properly

Right now, I saved before going back to my home, which it looks like is under attack by the DomZ

I haven't gotten sick of this game yet but man this game is a lot of fun

I remember enjoying it a lot when I played it uh, probably like 10 years ago now. It's weird and experimental, and it's not always great, but overall yeah it was really fun and cool :]

DRAINUS.

Pretty enjoyable horizontal shoot 'em up, it's timing-based more than pattern-based so it's quite accessible, at least on normal. The ship customization is nice, there are a variety of weapons to choose from which increases replayability. The game is 3 hours long so it can be finished in one afternoon, not a bad game to play as a palate cleanser, it's quite fun!

Unfortunately like most shoot 'em up, it runs at 60 FPS capped. If time-step calculation are so problematic with variable framerate at least they should support multiple of 60, these games would gain tons in readability and motion clarity.

I'm close to finishing my Lunatic playthough for Pragmata. Its crazy how many dialogues they are between Diana and Hugh, even in this second playthough I getting dialogues I haven't heard before on my first time playing the game.

I'm absolulty love this game in fact I go as far as say Prgmata might be my favourite 3rd person shooter.

Wrapped up DMC 4 then bought physicals of Rise of the Ronin and Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition for the DLC.
Really enjoyed Burning Shores.
Now on FarCry 4, skipped this one because of FC fatigue at the time.

I have played the game back in 2003 when it came out on GameCube. I ended up not beating it due to getting stuck at one of the dungeons. I'm pretty sure I'm close to that part in the game.

So far I'm loving it and it just reminds me of how the PS1/PS2 ERA was legendary in terms of games made by not just Japanese Developers but Western Developers

Really miss that

Vampire Crawlers
I only have a few unlocks left. Got to the 6th floor of Gallo Tower and died :(. My damage wasn't high enough and I got a bit unlucky not drawing any armor cards.

Pragmata Sketchbook Demo
Oh wow, I enjoyed this way more than I thought I would. Combat was really fun! Definitely going to buy this

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening on Switch. My first time with this title. 10h in.
Finished 4 dungeons and currently boss fight in 5th.
Hey me too, man. Finished dungeon 5 a moment ago.
I had to look up the tradable items though, because it would take too long to figure it out myself.
This game is

I got 50 endings in The Hundred Line last year and went back to it yesterday, currently on 54. Not sure if I'll get all 100 but right now I have hit another intruiging route.

From the start of the 2nd 100 Days>Don't Kill Eito>Lie.

Finally some answers about the time travel stuff... Hopefully.

Also planning to finish Digimon World 2003 soon and start Legend of Mana.

Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster - Finished 6/10
My opinion of this game became a little harsher after the last few hours; Thought the dungeons were really boring and Chaos is quite easily both the dullest and worst boss in any FF game that I've completed.

Vampire Crawlers - Finished 8.5/10
Really enjoyed this. Looking forward to the inevitable DLC that is sure to come out.

Currently deciding what to play next. It's a choice between Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 2.

Still playing Gothic 2. Almost done exploring the Night of the Raven area I believe, only thing left is use my bandit clothes to infiltrate the camp and ask Raven what the fuck does he think he's doing.

But today I'll be playing Rimworld instead: like playing a game of that like once every year or two and this time I'll be doing so with the Biotech DLC.

Just finished my 2nd playthrough of Pragmata on Lunatic and Platinum the game.

Another banger from Capcom and they still not done for this year.

(no spoilers)

Finished Ghost of Yotei.

It was really more of the same, but I still loved it. The story kept me going, and I enjoyed the combat a great deal. And that draw distance! I was overwhelmed by it to begin with, and I'd still find myself stopping to just stare, even 50 hours in.

Now playing Absolum.

The combat takes a bit of getting used to, and it can be difficult to see what's going on when enemies start to overlap one another. Otherwise, it's fairly decent.

As much as I enjoyed the demo and the first hour or so of Pragmata something drew me towards firing up Dead Space Remake. Not gone too far but its so atmospheric, Doom 3 meets Event Horizon. Diana sure as shit wouldn't be as cocky on the Ishimura 😳

everyone GIF

With my backlog, its feels like this... I just cant stop buying games, but you know what? I have "no regrats" yolo, just buy that shit you want and enjoy life.

After RE1 OG and RE2 OG, I finished the original Resident Evil 3 for the first time (Heavy mode). I played it with the usual Mulderland's Enhancement Pack. Like RE2, the AI upscaled background look nice and better than the default blurry mess, but at times it would be nice to have another manual art pass. But in general they are pretty nice.

What can I say, another banger and way better than the remake. It's a completely different game. You can see they wanted to go in a more action direction, but they still managed to keep the survival horror aspect intact. The dodge was a nice addition, it's not super easy to pull off and it doesn't really get you out of the way completely, so they balanced it well. Nemesis is way better in this game, it really feels like a menace and the AI is pretty good, for this playthrough I tried to avoid him as much as possible, but I see that as you get better at the game you could start to take him on on replays.

It was nice to explore an outside location instead of being closed off in a building. The quality of the backgrounds increased starkly compared to RE2, they are super detailed and the placement of the camera is always on point. I had a look at the credits and the majority of people are listed under Background Graphics, and I get why.

The pacing was great as usual, this whole trilogy was peak gaming. What I liked is that while the "base" of these games is similar, they play and feel completely different. You just can't get bored even if you play them back to back.

Now that I'm done with the OG trilogy I might start a Resident Evil 9 playthrough... or maybe I will finally play the Dino Crisis games (1&2) since I've never played them.

With my backlog, its feels like this... I just cant stop buying games, but you know what? I have "no regrats" yolo, just buy that shit you want and enjoy life.
I'm the same and I don't have a problem with it, I love having a vast selection of games to choose from, so I can play anything that strikes my fancy whenever I want. Better like this than the opposite imho.

An old school Shadowgate-esque meets auto battler/clicker hybrid indie.

Mindless, zoning fun while on video chats and calls.

It's decent. Nothing amazing aside from the weird dark horror vibe and when it does the shadowgate solve the mystery things. Wish they leaned into that more. It feels like there was too much of the auto micro management and not enough of the point and click adventure.

Hopefully the Dev builds off from this and expands into other things.

Continuing Hades 2 and while I'm enjoying the game, it could definitely have used some better, or more, on-boarding for new players.

I have had to look up google multiple times for how to do 'x' in the game, where a nicer tutorial in-game would have sufficed.
