What game did "achievements" first?

i'm pretty sure the current game generation has this mentality that achievement + xbox, but achievements are so trivial, it is practically tied to any game use to play, ie what i listed before

No it can't. For the purpose of this topic, it's defined in the OP.

By your generalistic definition, 'achievement' is not tied to the 360, it's tied to the dictionary.
 
Chrono triggers multiple endings can definitely be seen as an early form of achievement.

Likewise Ogre Battles multiple endings, multiple character builds depending on your tarot reading, and secret characters could be seen as achievements too.

So the SNES was doing them.
 
i believe that 'run for your life from the sabretooth' was one of the earlier ones (popular up until around 10k BP), and the single achievement you got from it was 'phew! you get to live for another day!'.
